One of Disney’s top leaders is taking on a major new role outside the parks.

Disney

Thomas Mazloum, chairman of Disney Experiences, has officially joined the Make-A-Wish America National Board of Directors, continuing Disney’s decades-long relationship with one of the company’s most closely connected nonprofit partners.

Mazloum was recently appointed to the Make-A-Wish America National Board of Directors as Disney continues supporting the organization through wish experiences, charitable initiatives, and long-running partnerships.

Disney

Mazloum currently serves as chairman of Disney Experiences, overseeing a large portion of Disney’s global parks, resorts, cruise, and vacation operations. Before taking on the role, he previously served in leadership positions at Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line.

And this partnership feels VERY fitting considering how closely Disney and Make-A-Wish have worked together over the years.

Disney and Make-A-Wish Have a LONG History Together

Disney has been one of the largest wish-granting partners for Make-A-Wish for decades, helping fulfill countless wishes for children facing critical illnesses across Disney Parks, Disney Cruise Line, movie premieres, and entertainment experiences worldwide.

Disney

According to Make-A-Wish, Disney has granted more than 165,000 wishes globally since the organization’s founding in 1980, making Disney one of the nonprofit’s largest wish-granters.

Disney frequently works with the organization on Disney World vacations, Disneyland trips, Disney Cruise Line sailings, VIP entertainment experiences. character meet-and-greets, and movie and television experiences.

The partnership has become such a major part of Disney’s identity that many Disney fans associate Make-A-Wish experiences directly with the parks themselves.

Disney Continues Expanding Its Community Partnerships

Mazloum joining the national board also comes during a period where Disney Experiences continues emphasizing community outreach, charitable programs, and family-focused initiatives across its parks and resorts.

Disney

Over the years, Disney executives have frequently worked closely with Make-A-Wish through fundraising campaigns, volunteer efforts, and special in-park experiences designed specifically for wish families.
