What happens when real-life heroes get to become superheroes for a day? Disney just made it happen, and it’s something special.

As part of Disney’s Week of Wishes, one unforgettable experience brought together imagination, storytelling, and real-life courage. And this time, the spotlight wasn’t on fictional heroes — it was on kids whose strength already makes them extraordinary.

Disney and Make-A-Wish teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind experience where wish kids stepped directly into the Marvel universe—becoming superheroes themselves.

During the “Wishes Assemble” event, nearly 40 Make-A-Wish children and their families were invited to take part in an immersive Avengers-style adventure. The experience allowed them to train as recruits, complete missions, and interact with Marvel storytelling in a completely hands-on way.

From start to finish, the event was designed to celebrate resilience, imagination, and the strength within each child, turning their stories into the true focus of the experience.

The experience also brought together well-known creators and personalities who joined in to help make the day even more memorable.

Participants stepped into the action alongside content creators and talent, blending real-world inspiration with Disney storytelling in a way that felt both personal and larger than life.

At its core, the goal was simple: give these kids a chance to see themselves not just as fans of heroes, but as heroes in their own stories.

This event is just one part of Disney’s long-standing partnership with Make-A-Wish, which has helped grant thousands of wishes for children with critical illnesses around the world.

Through experiences like this, Disney continues to use its storytelling, parks, and characters to create moments that go far beyond entertainment — turning imagination into something real.

It’s easy to think of superheroes as fictional, but moments like this remind us that real strength looks different.

By putting Make-A-Wish kids at the center of the story, Disney isn’t just telling stories about heroes — it’s celebrating them!
