It may only be May, but Disney is already teasing some major Christmas magic for Magic Kingdom.

Disney has officially confirmed that both Frozen Holiday Surprise and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration will return for the 2026 holiday season at Walt Disney World.

Frozen Holiday Surprise Is Returning for 2026

Disney confirmed that Frozen Holiday Surprise will once again take place at Cinderella Castle during the holiday season.

The nighttime castle show features Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and a few Snowgie friends as they transform Cinderella Castle into a shimmering frozen holiday display.

The entertainment offering originally debuted as A Frozen Holiday Wish before evolving into the current Frozen Holiday Surprise version in recent years.

The show has become one of Magic Kingdom’s signature nighttime holiday moments thanks to the castle projections, snowfall effects, lighting package, and Frozen-inspired holiday music.

And honestly? Watching Cinderella Castle “freeze over” at night still feels like one of the most magical parts of Christmas at Disney World.

Disney also confirmed the return of Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration for the 2026 holiday season.

The stage show takes place in front of Cinderella Castle during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and features Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and several other rare Disney characters, along with live performers and holiday music to dance along to.

The show originally debuted in 2016, replacing Celebrate the Season as Magic Kingdom’s primary Christmas castle stage show.

Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show is just one of the holiday highlights that guests can experience during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The separately ticketed event features a dazzling parade, stage shows, fireworks, complimentary sweet treats and so much more. It takes place on 25 select nights Nov. 9-Dec. 22. During the party, the performance is typically presented multiple times throughout the evening to help guests fit it into their entertainment schedule alongside the parade and fireworks.

The returning shows are closely tied to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Magic Kingdom’s separately ticketed holiday event.

The seasonal event traditionally includes Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, holiday-themed character meet-and-greets, complimentary cookies and cocoa, holiday ride overlays, and seasonal entertainment.

While Disney has not yet officially announced 2026 party dates or ticket prices, entertainment confirmations are often one of the earliest signs that holiday planning is already underway behind the scenes.

The confirmation also comes as Disney has already started posting seasonal entertainment casting notices tied to the 2026 holiday season.

That early preparation aligns with Walt Disney World’s typical timeline for holiday entertainment rehearsals, performer scheduling, and operational planning ahead of the busy November and December season.

And for Disney fans who consider Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party one of the best events of the entire year? This is probably exactly the kind of announcement they wanted to hear!
