Magic Kingdom is making a couple of notable changes to its castle entertainment lineup this weekend.

Disney has confirmed that the longtime “Let the Magic Begin” welcome show at Cinderella Castle will continue operating as an audio-only experience moving forward, while “Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire” is adding a brand-new morning performance to the schedule.
The change to “Let the Magic Begin” was first introduced earlier this year during work related to repainting Cinderella Castle.
Previously, the welcome show featured live character appearances on the Cinderella Castle stage before park opening. Since the castle work began, however, the show shifted to an audio-only format without performers appearing on stage.

Now, Disney has confirmed that the audio-only version of the show will remain in place permanently moving forward.
The welcome announcement still plays each morning before Magic Kingdom officially opens, helping kick off the day for guests entering the park.

While some fans may miss seeing the full live version of “Let the Magic Begin,” it gives guests another opportunity to catch castle entertainment earlier in the day.
