These teachers didn’t just visit Disney World…they led a parade down Main Street!

During a week dedicated to celebrating educators, Walt Disney World turned the spotlight on 15 incredible teachers in a way only Disney can. And this wasn’t just a moment — it was a full experience designed to honor, inspire, and give back.
In celebration of National Teacher Appreciation Week, 15 educators from across the United States were honored at Walt Disney World Resort during a special Disney Imagination Campus celebration, and the experience was nothing short of magical.
These teachers weren’t just guests…they were the stars of the show!

As part of the celebration, each educator served as an honorary grand marshal, leading a parade down Main Street, U.S.A. inside Magic Kingdom. It’s one of the most iconic roles in any Disney parade, and this time, it belonged to teachers who are making a real impact in classrooms across the country.
The group was selected from thousands of entries through the 2026 Disney Teachers Sweepstakes, presented in collaboration with Disney Imagination Campus and ABC’s Abbott Elementary Teachers Celebration.

Once at Walt Disney World, the educators were treated to a multi-day experience designed to celebrate their work and fuel new ideas they could take back home.
Over the course of four days and three nights, the teachers stayed at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and explored the parks while also participating in immersive learning experiences.
Through Disney Imagination Campus, they attended workshops and sessions led by Disney leaders, diving into topics like performing arts, science, technology, innovation, and leadership — all with the goal of bringing fresh inspiration back into their classrooms.

Each teacher also received special perks, including park tickets, exclusive experiences, and even a private reception with fireworks viewing — creating moments that were just as memorable as the lessons they explored.
But one of the most impactful parts of this celebration goes far beyond the parks.
Through a partnership with General Motors and the nonprofit DonorsChoose, Disney helped provide $150,000 in grants to support STEAM-focused classroom projects across the country.
That means the impact of this experience doesn’t end when the trip is over — it continues in classrooms, benefiting students and communities long after the celebration ends.

Yes, there were parades, fireworks, and unforgettable Disney moments, but at its core, this event was about recognizing educators who are shaping the future and giving them tools, inspiration, and support to keep doing it.
Because sometimes, the most magical stories happening at Disney…aren’t just inside the parks.
Know a teacher who deserves a moment like this? Because if this celebration proves anything — it’s that the magic goes far beyond the rides.
