Disney World just got even cuter…and yes, you’re going to want to look a little closer on your next visit!
From tiny hooves to wobbly first steps, there’s a whole new generation of animals making their debut at Walt Disney World, and some of them are already stealing the spotlight. If you’re heading to the parks or resorts soon, this is the kind of update you don’t want to miss.
There’s something extra special happening across Walt Disney World right now, and it’s happening on the savannas, behind the scenes, and soon…right in front of guests.
A new group of baby animals has officially joined the Disney family, bringing even more life (and a lot more cuteness) to places like Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
A Growing Family on the Savanna
Over at Animal Kingdom Lodge, guests may spot a group of adorable red river hog piglets beginning to explore their habitat.
The piglets (Mason, Cooper, and Phillip) were born to mom Clementine, while another piglet named Demi arrived shortly after to mom Persimmon. These little ones are already showing off their personalities as they stick close to their mothers and start discovering their surroundings.
And if you’ve ever seen red river hogs before, you know — they’re already some of the most colorful animals on the savanna. Seeing them as babies? Next level.
Meet the Next Generation
The baby boom doesn’t stop there.
A nyala calf named Parker has also joined the savanna, bringing new energy to the herd. Born with white stripes and spots for natural camouflage, Parker will eventually grow into a darker coat and develop the signature spiral horns that make male nyalas so recognizable.
It’s one of those moments that perfectly captures what makes Animal Kingdom so unique — you’re not just observing animals, you’re watching them grow.
A Rare and Special Arrival
One of the most exciting additions is Mabel, a baby Ankole calf, and this one is a big deal.
She’s the first Ankole calf born at Walt Disney World in over 20 years, making her arrival especially meaningful for Disney’s animal care and conservation teams.
While she may be small now, Ankole cattle are known for their massive, iconic horns — so guests watching her grow over time are in for something pretty incredible.
A New Star (Literally) on the Rise
And over at Animal Kingdom, there’s another exciting arrival — a Masai giraffe calf.
Born at nearly six feet tall and weighing around 120 pounds, this little one is already making an impact. She’s currently spending time bonding with her mom, Willow, and will eventually join the herd on Kilimanjaro Safaris.
Even more meaningful? Masai giraffes are classified as endangered, so every birth plays an important role in conservation efforts and species survival programs.
While these moments are undeniably adorable, they’re also part of something much bigger.
Walt Disney World is home to thousands of animals, with dedicated teams focused on conservation, education, and animal care every single day.
