After weeks behind construction walls, a fan-favorite coffee stop at Universal may be quietly making its return.

If you’ve been missing your morning caffeine fix at Islands of Adventure, there’s a new update you’ll want to hear. It looks like one of the park’s most popular quick stops could be coming back sooner than expected.

The Starbucks location in the Port of Entry at Universal’s Islands of Adventure may have just entered a technical rehearsal (soft opening) following a several-week refurbishment.

The location had been closed since earlier this year, with construction walls blocking the entrance and signage directing guests to other coffee spots around Universal Orlando.

Now, reports suggest the popular coffee spot could be reopening in a limited capacity (typically referred to as a technical rehearsal), where operations resume before an official reopening announcement.

For many guests, this Starbucks isn’t just another stop — it’s a rope drop ritual.

Located right at the front of the park, it’s one of the first places guests head to before starting their day. Its temporary closure meant shifting routines, with visitors needing to grab coffee elsewhere at CityWalk or Universal Studios Florida.

A soft opening signals that the refurbishment is wrapping up and that normal operations could fully return very soon.

If this is indeed a technical rehearsal, hours and menu availability may be limited as the team ramps back up. But it’s a strong sign that a full reopening announcement could be just around the corner.

Follow along for more Universal updates, because even small reopenings like this can make a big difference in your park day.
