Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities has officially closed, as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge prepares for a major transformation tied to its upcoming timeline shift.
And this isn’t just a random closure — it’s part of a much larger evolution happening inside the land.
Why Is It Closing?
The closure is directly connected to Disneyland’s upcoming timeline expansion, which officially begins on April 29, 2026.
This update will dramatically change how guests experience Galaxy’s Edge, expanding the story beyond its original setting between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker to include multiple eras of the Star Wars saga.
That means new characters, new storylines…and yes, updated locations.
What’s Changing Inside the Shop?
While details are still limited, Disney has already hinted that Dok-Ondar’s will feature new artifacts and props tied to different Star Wars eras, including items connected to classic trilogy characters and newer Disney+ series.
In other words, the shop isn’t going away; it’s evolving. And honestly? That fits the story! Antiquities shops are always changing their inventory…especially in a galaxy that spans decades of storytelling.
A Sign of What’s Coming
This closure is just one piece of a much larger shift happening across Galaxy’s Edge.
With the timeline expanding, guests will soon be able to encounter characters like Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia alongside existing characters already in the land.
