If you’re planning a June Disney trip…this could seriously impact your park day.

One of the most popular parks at Walt Disney World is about to start closing earlier than usual, and if you don’t know ahead of time, it could catch you way off guard.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is adjusting its hours on select nights this June…and there’s a very specific reason why.
On select dates in June 2026, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be closing earlier than its typical 9:00–9:30 PM schedule to accommodate the return of a special ticketed event.

The reason? Disney After Hours is back.
This separately ticketed event allows a limited number of guests to stay in the park after closing, with shorter wait times, lower crowds, and included snacks like popcorn, ice cream, and bottled drinks.
And here’s where it affects you.
On event nights (scheduled for June 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2026), the park will close earlier to day guests so Disney can transition into the After Hours experience.

That means if you’re visiting on one of these dates without an After Hours ticket, you’ll likely lose a few hours of park time compared to a normal operating day.
Now, if you do have a ticket to the event? It’s actually kind of a win.
Disney After Hours is known for offering some of the lowest wait times you’ll find all year, especially for high-demand attractions like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash. Plus, the included snacks don’t hurt either.

But for everyone else? Planning is key!
Hollywood Studios is already one of the busiest parks in Walt Disney World, especially with ongoing changes and new experiences rolling out throughout 2026. Losing even a couple of hours in the evening could make it harder to fit everything into one day — so you may want to adjust your strategy, arrive earlier, or consider park hopping.
Nothing’s worse than planning your perfect Disney day…only to find out the park closes earlier than you expected.
