If you’re staying at Disney’s Pop Century soon, there’s a small (but important) pool update you’ll want to know.

Disney World continues its steady pace of refurbishments across resorts, and this latest one is quick, routine, and easy to plan around—but still worth noting if you’ve got little ones excited for pool time.
The kiddie pool at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is scheduled to temporarily close for refurbishment beginning April 13 through late April 2026.

This closure affects the small splash-style kiddie pool area located near Classic Hall and the Hippy Dippy Pool, which typically features shallow water and playful fountains designed for younger guests.

The good news? This is a short, routine maintenance project, not a long-term overhaul.
What You Can Expect
While the kiddie pool is closed, Disney has confirmed that:
- The Hippy Dippy Pool (main feature pool) will remain open
- The Bowling Pool and Computer Pool will also stay available
- Most other resort amenities will continue operating as normal
Guests may notice daytime construction activity in the area, but the impact is expected to be minimal overall.

If you’re traveling with younger kids, this is one of those details that can slightly shift your plans—especially since the kiddie pool is one of the more age-friendly water areas at the resort.

That said, Pop Century is still in a strong position compared to other refurbishments happening across Walt Disney World right now. With multiple pools remaining open, it’s far from a major disruption—just something to keep in mind when mapping out your resort downtime.
This is a quick, but important one if you’re visiting in mid-to-late April.
