Several changes are taking place inside The Lost Continent at Universal’s Islands of Adventure as multiple shops and experiences have quietly closed. At the same time, construction walls that once blocked the former Poseidon’s Fury attraction have been removed, allowing guests to walk closer to the iconic temple façade once again.

Guests visiting Universal’s Islands of Adventure may notice several changes taking place around The Lost Continent, as multiple merchandise and entertainment locations have quietly closed while nearby areas are beginning to open up again.
These updates come as speculation continues to grow about the land’s future, which has already seen several attractions shuttered in recent years.
All Hallows Eve Boutique Closes in The Lost Continent
One of the most noticeable changes is the closure of All Hallows Eve Boutique, a year-round retail location that specialized in merchandise inspired by Halloween Horror Nights. The shop had become a fan-favorite stop for guests looking to pick up spooky décor, apparel, and collectibles, even outside of the fall season.
While the boutique itself has now closed inside The Lost Continent, the concept hasn’t disappeared entirely. Universal recently opened a relocated version of the shop called All Hallows Eve: The Lost Emporium near the park entrance in the Port of Entry area, taking over the former Ocean Trader Market space.
The new store continues to offer Halloween-themed merchandise year-round and is expected to serve as the main merchandise location for Halloween Horror Nights items inside Islands of Adventure during the event season.

Other Nearby Experiences Also Close
Along with the boutique’s closure, several smaller offerings around The Lost Continent appear to have shut down as well.
Locations that previously hosted psychic readings and henna art in the land have also closed, with those experiences now reportedly relocated alongside the new Lost Emporium store near the park entrance.
The combination of these closures has left several storefronts dark throughout the area, further fueling speculation that larger changes could be coming soon to the land.
Construction Walls Removed Near Poseidon’s Fury
Another noticeable change in the area involves the former Poseidon’s Fury: Escape from the Lost City attraction.
The special-effects walkthrough attraction originally opened with the park in 1999 and permanently closed in May 2023, leaving the temple façade standing but inaccessible to guests.
Recently, construction walls that had blocked the pathway leading toward the attraction have been removed, allowing guests to once again walk much closer to the iconic temple structure. While the building itself remains closed, the removal of barriers now gives visitors the opportunity to approach the façade and take photos—something many longtime fans are doing to capture one last memory of the attraction.
What Could Be Next for The Lost Continent?
The recent closures and relocations come as The Lost Continent continues to shrink compared to its original footprint. Much of the land was transformed into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade in 2010, leaving only a handful of experiences still operating in the remaining area.
Reports in recent years have suggested that Universal may eventually redevelop the remaining portions of the land, though the company has not officially announced what could replace it.
For now, guests visiting Islands of Adventure can still explore the area and its remaining offerings, but with storefronts closing and barriers disappearing around former attractions, it’s clear that change is continuing to unfold in this once-mystical corner of the park.
