Santa Claus is coming to town, and he’s making a special stop at Walt Disney World!
Santa returns to Disney Springs on November 11, 2026, giving guests the opportunity to share their Christmas wishes, snap a festive photo, and enjoy a little holiday magic without purchasing a theme park ticket. But before you head over to meet the big guy in red, there’s something important you need to know.
Meeting Santa at Disney Springs requires a virtual queue, and Disney will NOT offer a traditional standby line for the experience. Here’s everything you need to know before your visit!

When and Where Can You Meet Santa at Disney Springs?
Santa Claus will greet guests at Santa’s Marketplace from November 11 through December 24, 2026. The festive meet-and-greet is located in the Marketplace section of Disney Springs, near Disney’s Pin Traders.
The experience is complimentary, and since Disney Springs doesn’t require theme park admission, it’s a great holiday activity for families looking to celebrate Christmas without spending an entire day inside the parks. This year’s Santa’s Marketplace will also be hosted by Dairy Does More, with fresh milk and cookies adding another festive touch to the experience.
How to Join the Disney Springs Santa Virtual Queue
Just like previous years, Disney is using a virtual queue to manage the popular Santa meet-and-greet.
Guests will have FIVE opportunities to join the queue each day:
Virtual Queue Opening Times
---
9 AM
11 AM
1 PM
3 PM
5 PM
Important: You must physically be at Disney Springs to join the virtual queue.
One guest can enroll an entire party of up to 10 people, so everyone in your group doesn’t need to join separately.
Here’s how the process works:
- Arrive at Disney Springs. Make sure you’re on property before your preferred virtual queue opening time.
- Open the My Disney Experience app. Sign in and locate the Virtual Queue section.
- Join at one of the five designated times. Select the Santa experience and enroll your group, subject to availability.
- Wait for your notification. Once your group is called, the person who joined will receive a push notification with a digital entry code.
- Head to Santa’s Marketplace. Present your digital entry code during your designated return window to enter the experience.
If you accidentally dismiss your notification, you can retrieve your entry code by opening the three-line menu in My Disney Experience and selecting “Virtual Queues.” Keep in mind that virtual queue spots are limited, and joining a queue does not guarantee a meet-and-greet.
What’s NEW for Santa’s Marketplace in 2026?
While the virtual queue system is returning, there are a few changes guests should know about this year.
First, Santa arrives on November 11, two days earlier than his November 13 debut in 2025. There’s also a change to the final virtual queue opening. Last year’s last opportunity was at 6 PM, but this year, the final distribution begins at 5 PM. And the experience has a new host! Dairy Does More is taking over Santa’s Marketplace, with fresh milk and cookies available as part of the festive visit.
These may be relatively small changes, but they’re worth keeping in mind when planning your holiday outing.
What If You Can’t Get a Virtual Queue Spot?
If the virtual queue fills up before you’re able to join, there’s still another way to send your Christmas wishes to the North Pole! Guests can visit Once Upon a Toy at Disney Springs, where children can write letters to Santa and mail them directly to the North Pole. It’s a fun alternative for families who aren’t able to secure a meet-and-greet spot, and another festive activity to enjoy while exploring the Marketplace.

Guests can also check out the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll, which returns November 11 with beautifully decorated trees inspired by Disney characters and stories. This year’s new additions include Bluey, Monsters, Inc., and Hallmark-themed Christmas trees.

My Take
I’m glad to see that Disney Springs offers a chance to meet Santa without requiring a theme park ticket! It’s such a fun way to celebrate the holidays, especially for families who want to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere, grab some seasonal treats, and make an evening out of exploring Disney Springs.
That said, I do think the virtual queue is something guests really need to prepare for. The last thing you want is to arrive with excited kids only to realize you missed the final opportunity to join. My advice would be to arrive before one of the earlier distribution times, have the My Disney Experience app ready, and make the Christmas Tree Stroll part of your plans while you wait. That way, even if you don’t get a spot immediately, there’s still plenty of holiday fun to enjoy!
