We took a look inside a guest room at Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas! Designed with families in mind, the hotel has a colorful, playful look, with a queen bed for adults and bunk beds for kids.

A Bright and Colorful Guest Room
The first thing that caught my eye was the mix of blue, yellow, and orange throughout the room. Rounded furniture gives the space a playful feel, while wood-look flooring and furnishings help balance out the bright colors.

A Queen Bed and Bunk Beds for Kids
The guest rooms feature a queen-size bed alongside bunk beds. The headboard has padded panels, and similar cushioning appears along the bunk-bed wall.

The bunk beds have a blue frame and ladder, with partially enclosed sleeping areas that feel a little like a secret hideout for kids. In the room we toured, the upper bunk was twin-size and the lower bunk was full-size.

A Sofa, Small Table, and Crayons
Along one wall is a bench-style sofa with a round table. It’s a handy spot for a quick snack, drawing, or taking a break after a day at the park.

There were even crayons and paper waiting in the room—a thoughtful touch that fits the kid-focused theme.

TV and Storage
A wall-mounted TV sits above a yellow-and-wood-look cabinet. Even the round cabinet handles match the room’s playful design.

Hotel-Themed Key Cards
Here’s a look at the hotel’s room key cards.

A Look Inside the Bathroom
The bathroom has a bright, clean design, with lighting integrated into the mirror and storage space for towels and toiletries.

The shower uses a curtain rather than a glass enclosure. Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided in wall-mounted dispensers.

My First Impressions
I’ve stayed at several Universal Orlando hotels, and this room felt noticeably smaller by comparison. That said, Universal Kids Resort is designed with younger children in mind, and I think the layout could work well for two parents traveling with two kids around age 10 or younger.
One of the biggest advantages of staying at the official hotel is the convenient access to the park. Early park admission is another benefit worth considering when planning a family trip.
If you’re thinking about visiting Universal Kids Resort in Texas, I hope this room tour helps you decide whether the hotel is a good fit for your family.
