Universal Orlando just dropped a teaser, and it’s got passholders looking at their Christmas trees a little differently.

The official annual passholder account shared a graphic announcing an upcoming UOAP-exclusive button, and the clue is a good one.

Universal took to Instagram to tease the upcoming release, adding, “The upcoming UOAP-exclusive button features a holiday favorite usually found in the tree. This year, though, he’ll be floating above it. Be on the lookout for the reveal soon and expect the giveaway starting Nov. 14.”

Let’s break down what we’ve got. First, it’s a button exclusive to Universal Orlando annual passholders, which is the UOAP in the name. Second, the giveaway is set to begin November 14. Third, a reveal is coming soon, so we’ll learn who the star of the button is before the giveaway begins. And fourth, it’s a “he,” a holiday favorite who usually hangs out in the tree, but this year is floating above it.

Now the graphic itself. It’s a bright teal background covered in a pattern of acorns, framed by strings of colorful holiday lights in red, blue, yellow, green, and pink. In the middle is a wooden sign, the kind of rustic plank that looks like it came straight out of a forest, with big bold letters that read “You’ll Go Nuts.” That’s all the image shows, so we’re working with a pretty small set of breadcrumbs.

And I love the breadcrumbs. The acorns and the “You’ll Go Nuts” line are obviously a wink at something, and “floating above the tree” is the kind of hint that makes you want to scroll through every holiday character you can think of. I’m not going to name a guess as a fact, because Universal hasn’t said who it is, and I’d hate to get a character wrong and send you down the wrong path. But I will say the acorns feel intentional, and I’m very curious.

Now for the practical bit. The date to circle is November 14, and the official passholder channels are the place to watch for the reveal.

That date is a good one, too. November 14 is also when listings show Universal’s holiday season returning to the resort, so it makes sense that a holiday-themed passholder perk would start right then. If you’re planning a holiday trip, it’s a nice reason to build a visit around that weekend.

For families, buttons like this are a big deal in the best way. They’re small, they’re collectible, and kids love picking out a button and pinning it somewhere they can show it off. If you’ve got little ones who love a good holiday character, this could turn into the thing they talk about for weeks. It’s also a sweet souvenir that doesn’t take up a lot of room in a suitcase, which any parent can appreciate.

Let’s talk about the fun of a mystery reveal, too. In a world where every announcement comes with a full press release, a teaser with a single clue and a date feels refreshingly old-school. It gives passholders something to chat about at the gate, in the comments and around the dinner table. I love that Universal let us have a little guessing game.

And the “You’ll Go Nuts” line has me suspicious in the best way. I don’t know who’s floating above that tree, but I’m already tempted to place a bet.
