Planning a Disney World vacation for Christmas 2027? You can officially stop waiting to book it!

Walt Disney World has quietly opened its remaining 2027 vacation dates, meaning guests can now book Disney Resort hotel stays, vacation packages, and theme park tickets all the way through December 31, 2027.

Previously, Disney had only released availability through October 2027, leaving anyone hoping to visit during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Eve unable to secure those dates.

But as of October 6, 2026, that’s officially changed. And if you’re someone who likes getting your Disney vacation plans locked in well ahead of time, this is a pretty big update.

When Walt Disney World initially opened its 2027 vacation bookings in April 2026, the reservation calendar only extended through October 31, 2027.

That meant guests planning vacations for November and December had to wait for a separate release.

Now, Disney has added those final two months, opening the door for guests to reserve their preferred resort, travel dates, and theme park admission.

The newly available booking options include:

• Disney Resort hotel reservations, including eligible room-only stays.
• Walt Disney World vacation packages, combining resort accommodations with theme park tickets.
• Theme park tickets for the newly released November and December 2027 dates.

Whether you’re planning a Thanksgiving getaway, a December family vacation, or a New Year’s Eve celebration at Disney World, you can now begin putting those plans in place.

And that’s especially helpful for guests who need to coordinate school schedules, time off work, or larger family vacations well in advance.

Here’s where things get particularly exciting. November and December are among the most festive times to visit Walt Disney World, with holiday decorations, seasonal entertainment, and special events transforming the resort.

Depending on Disney’s eventual 2027 schedule, guests could potentially plan their trips around returning favorites such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom, Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

Disney’s resorts also typically get into the holiday spirit with elaborate Christmas trees, festive displays, seasonal treats, and decorations.

But there’s an important distinction.

Just because you can book a November or December 2027 Disney World vacation doesn’t mean the 2027 Christmas event dates have been announced. Disney has not yet released the specific 2027 schedules or ticket-sale dates for those holiday celebrations.

So while you can secure your resort and park admission now, I wouldn’t recommend choosing your entire vacation around an assumed Christmas party date. If attending a specific event is your top priority, you’ll want to keep an eye on Disney’s future announcements before finalizing every detail.

The opening of these additional dates also gives guests a clearer look at what visiting Disney World during the 2027 holiday season could cost. Disney uses date-based ticket pricing, meaning admission prices vary depending on the park and the day you visit.

Newly released November and December pricing includes tickets in the $169 to $189 range for the dates and ticket options highlighted in its report. However, that’s not the complete price range for every Disney World theme park.

Other reporting on the newly released calendar indicates that select peak dates at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT reach as high as $229 for a one-day ticket, with Disney’s Hollywood Studios reaching $214 and Disney’s Animal Kingdom reaching $189. Those are peak prices, not what every guest will pay.

The important thing to remember is that the specific park and date you select can make a substantial difference in the final price. If your vacation dates are flexible, it’s worth comparing multiple arrival dates and ticket options before making a decision. Even shifting your trip by a few days could change the overall cost of your vacation.

While resort reservations, vacation packages, and theme park tickets are available through the end of 2027, several other pieces of your vacation still operate on shorter booking windows. Disney dining reservations generally open 60 days in advance.

Guests staying at eligible Disney Resort hotels can typically make dining reservations for their length of stay, up to a 10-night stay, beginning 60 days before their arrival. That means if you’re planning a Christmas 2027 vacation, you’ll still have quite a while to wait before making reservations at restaurants such as Cinderella’s Royal Table, Space 220, or ‘Ohana. The same applies to Lightning Lane selections.

Guests staying at eligible Disney Resort hotels can currently purchase and select Lightning Lane experiences up to seven days before their check-in date, while other guests generally have a three-day advance window.

Those rules could change before late 2027, so be sure to review Disney’s current policies closer to your trip. For now, the biggest pieces you can secure are your accommodations and theme park admission.

If you’re planning to visit during one of Disney World’s busiest holiday periods, there’s a pretty good argument for booking early.

Thanksgiving week and the days surrounding Christmas and New Year’s Eve tend to be popular travel periods, particularly for families working around school breaks. Booking earlier may give you a wider selection of Disney Resort hotels and room categories before certain options become harder to find.

And if you’ve got your heart set on a specific resort, that flexibility can be especially valuable. However, there’s something else worth keeping in mind. Booking early doesn’t automatically mean you’re getting the lowest possible price.

Disney regularly introduces special offers and vacation discounts throughout the year, although there’s no guarantee that a future promotion will apply to your resort, room category, or travel dates.

Depending on the terms of your reservation and the offer’s availability, you may be able to modify an existing booking to take advantage of an eligible promotion later.

I’d also pay close attention to the cancellation and modification policies associated with your reservation before placing a deposit. Those terms can differ depending on whether you’re booking a room-only reservation or a vacation package.

I love planning a Disney World vacation well in advance, especially when we’re talking about the holiday season. There’s something about knowing you have a Christmas trip on the calendar that makes the entire year leading up to it a little more exciting.

But what I really like about this announcement is that guests finally have the ability to compare the entire 2027 calendar instead of guessing what November and December might cost.

If you’re someone who can travel at different times of the year, that’s a big deal. You can now look at the price difference between visiting in early November, Thanksgiving week, early December, or the days leading up to Christmas and make a decision based on actual available rates.

And personally, I’d much rather have that information now than wait until I’ve already committed to flights or time off work. My biggest piece of advice is to avoid assuming that booking your resort means the rest of your holiday vacation is completely planned.

Disney hasn’t announced the 2027 Christmas party schedules yet, and those dates could make a big difference if attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or Disney Jollywood Nights is a priority.

I’d secure the accommodations I really want, keep an eye on potential discounts, and leave a little flexibility until Disney releases more details about its 2027 holiday offerings.
