We own an unreasonable number of Disney mugs, and we would like to state clearly that we have no more shelf space and absolutely no plans to buy anything else that holds food or drink.

(Narrator voice: They are about to buy four plates.)
Walt Disney World has announced a brand-new souvenir that you eat off of. The Mickey Mouse Souvenir Plates are Mickey-shaped plastic plates with raised edges, each one decorated with a different park icon, and they can be added to an entree at nine quick-service restaurants across all four theme parks. The first look came from the official Disney Eats account on Instagram on October 5, and the first plate has already started showing up in the wild.

Let’s start with the best part: the price. Reports from Magic Kingdom put the plate at $3 as an add-on. The plate can be added to any entree as an additional purchase, while supplies last, though at Magic Kingdom it has been spotted as an add-on option for kids’ meals in mobile order. Disney has not said whether the plates can be bought on their own, so if you were hoping to just pick one up at the register without ordering lunch, I would not count on it yet.
Here is every design, so you can start planning your collection.
The Magic Kingdom plate is bright blue and features Cinderella Castle in the center, with a smiling face above the castle’s entrance, surrounded by little white stars and with the Walt Disney World logo at the bottom. This is the one that has already arrived, and it is available at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café and Pinocchio Village Haus.

The EPCOT plate is bright green and features Spaceship Earth, also smiling, with the Walt Disney World logo along the bottom.

The Disney’s Hollywood Studios plate is purple, with a pink Hollywood Tower Hotel on a purple and pink background. And yes, the Tower of Terror has a smile on it. I have thought about this more than I would like to admit. The most famously terrifying building in Walt Disney World is wearing a grin on a plate, and I am here for every second of it.

The Disney’s Animal Kingdom plate is yellow and features the Tree of Life.
All four plates share the same shape. They are Mickey’s head, with a round well in each ear for holding food, which is a very smart bit of design. The ears are exactly the right size for a dipping sauce, a handful of grapes, or whatever else you need to keep from sliding into your fries. They are made of plastic, so they are built to survive being tossed in a park bag.

Now for where to find them. Disney says nine quick-service locations will offer the plate:
- At Magic Kingdom, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café and Pinocchio Village Haus.
- At EPCOT, Connections Eatery and Sunshine Seasons.
- At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Backlot Express, Rosie’s All-American Café, and Catalina Eddie’s.
- At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Flame Tree Barbecue and Pizzafari.
If you want a specific plate, it is worth checking the My Disney Experience app or asking a Cast Member at the participating restaurant before you build a meal around it.
If you caught our coverage of the Witch and Poison Apple mug, the Be Our Guest goblet, and the other collectibles that keep showing up this season, you can see a pattern here. These are small, practical, and way less intimidating to buy than a big-ticket item. At $3, this might be one of the cheapest souvenirs on property right now, and it is small enough to tuck into a park bag.
My game plan is simple. We’re going to eat a lot of chicken tenders, we are going to say the words “it is for the collection” out loud to anyone who asks, and we are going to see how many of these nine restaurants we can visit in one trip. If you are on a mission to collect all four, consider this your map.
We will keep tracking when the other three plates arrive, so check back with Theme Park Scope before you plan your lunch stops.
