Disney apparently looked at the calendar, realized it’s not even October yet, and decided the holidays simply could not wait any longer.

A second round of sneak peek photos just dropped for this year’s Christmas merchandise collection, and based on what’s been teased so far, my wallet is already bracing for impact.
If you caught our earlier coverage of the Mickey Mouse and Family Christmas Collection, the matching pajama lineup that kicked off the 2026 holiday season back on September 14, consider this the natural next chapter. Disney is clearly treating this as a rolling, multi-wave release rather than one big holiday merchandise dump, and this newest batch of teaser photos gives us our best look yet at what’s coming after the pajamas.
First up is a new holiday backpack, and it’s a genuinely elevated look for a park bag. Disney-branded in a rich red velvet with gold Mickey Mouse detailing worked into the design, it reads more like something you’d actually want to carry around off-property, too, not just a functional way to haul snacks and ponchos through Magic Kingdom. Photos shared so far show it from the front only, so we don’t yet know what the interior or back panel situation looks like, but the front alone is enough to make this one of the more anticipated pieces in the collection.

Next is a new holiday Spirit Jersey, which has become something of an annual institution for Disney fans at this point. This year’s design features a plaid Mickey silhouette alongside a candy cane and snowflake motif on the front. Disney hasn’t shared the back design yet either, but based on the texture visible in early photos, this one looks thicker and cozier than some past releases, which is good news for anyone layering up during an actual chilly evening in the parks come December.

Rounding out the apparel side of this preview is a Mickey Mouse fleece jacket built around a Santa Mickey theme. This is exactly the kind of piece that tends to sell out fast once it actually lands in stores, since it threads the needle between “genuinely wearable on a cool evening” and “obviously festive enough to count as a holiday outfit.” If you’ve been burned before by waiting too long on a popular fleece release, this is the one to keep an eye on.

On the home decor side, Disney teased a new Mickey Mouse wreath, and it might be the standout of this entire preview. The design incorporates poinsettias, bells, and a faux candle worked into the center, giving it a more traditional, classic holiday look rather than leaning hard into character branding. It’s the kind of piece that could believably sit on a front door well outside of Disney fan circles, which says a lot about how far Disney’s home decor game has come in recent years.

None of these four items have an official release date yet, since this round is explicitly billed as a sneak peek rather than a launch announcement. Based on how the first wave played out, with teaser photos landing before product dropped on DisneyStore.com before eventually making their way into the parks, expect a similar pattern here, likely over the next few weeks.
Here’s the pattern worth paying attention to if you’re trying to budget your holiday shopping this year: Disney is spacing these reveals out deliberately, giving fans something new to anticipate every week or two rather than overwhelming everyone with a single massive catalog drop. That’s smart from a marketing standpoint, since it keeps the collection in the conversation for longer, but it also means patient shoppers who wait for the full lineup to be revealed will have a much easier time deciding what’s actually worth buying versus what just looked exciting in a single teaser photo.
If you’re the type who likes to get ahead of the rush, now is a good time to start a mental list of which of these four items you’re actually planning to chase once they go on sale. Based on past years, the wreath and the backpack both feel like strong candidates to sell out quickly…given how distinct their designs are compared to typical holiday offerings. I think each of these pieces are perfect for the holiday season, and I’ll be lucky if I’m fast enough to get my hands on a few of them when they debut in the parks and online.
We’ll be tracking every new wave of this collection as Disney reveals it, including official release dates once they’re confirmed, so check back with Theme Park Scope for the next sneak peek and everything else landing in Disney’s 2026 holiday lineup.
