Disney Springs is reportedly about to lose another longtime restaurant, and this closure is happening surprisingly quietly!

Another change appears to be on the way to the Disney Springs dining lineup.

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is reportedly permanently closing sometime in September 2026. The restaurant has been serving guests in the Town Center area of Disney Springs for nearly eight years, making this considerably more than a temporary refurbishment or menu change.

But there’s something unusual about this particular closure. At the time the news broke, neither Walt Disney World nor Wolfgang Puck had publicly announced the restaurant’s closing, and an exact final operating date had not been revealed. In fact, future reservations were still showing up after the restaurant is reportedly expected to close.

So if Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is part of your upcoming Disney World plans, there’s quite a bit we still need Disney (or the restaurant) to clarify.

We don’t yet know why Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is closing, what could eventually replace it, or whether Wolfgang Puck intends to relocate the restaurant elsewhere in the Orlando area. And until Disney or Wolfgang Puck publicly confirms additional details, we’d be cautious about speculating on any of those possibilities.

The situation is particularly important for guests who already have dining reservations. At the time of reporting, Wolfgang Puck website was reportedly still allowing guests to make reservations for October 2026, after the September closure window shared by the Cast Member.

That doesn’t necessarily mean the restaurant will remain open into October. Reservation systems don’t always immediately reflect upcoming operational changes, particularly before those changes have been publicly announced. But it does create an unusual situation for anyone currently holding, or considering making, a future reservation.

If you have Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill booked for late September or beyond, we’d keep a close eye on the reservation and your email for potential changes or cancellations. Until an official final operating date is released, there’s no way to know exactly which reservations will ultimately be affected.

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill opened at Disney Springs in November 2018, bringing a new Wolfgang Puck restaurant to the shopping and entertainment district after the earlier Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe had closed as part of the transformation from Downtown Disney to Disney Springs.

The restaurant occupies a prominent location in Town Center, near the Coca-Cola Store and across from the surrounding shopping district. Its design was inspired by the laid-back atmosphere of California dining, with a menu combining Wolfgang Puck signatures with pizzas, pasta, steaks, seafood, salads, and other contemporary American dishes.

That has made the restaurant an interesting middle ground within Disney Springs. It isn’t character dining or heavily Disney-themed. Instead, it has functioned as a more conventional sit-down restaurant that can work for everything from a casual lunch during a shopping day to a nicer dinner away from the theme parks.

And unlike dining inside Disney World’s four theme parks, visiting Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill doesn’t require a park ticket or theme park reservation. Its reported departure would therefore remove another option from an area that has undergone a noticeable amount of dining turnover.

The reported Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill closure doesn’t exist in isolation. Disney Springs is continually evolving, and restaurant turnover is part of that process. But 2026 has brought several notable changes to the district’s food and beverage lineup, making another permanent closure particularly noteworthy.

For guests, the bigger question isn’t simply that another restaurant is leaving. It’s what Disney Springs is planning to do with these spaces next. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill occupies a sizable purpose-built restaurant location in Town Center, so a permanent closure would leave Disney with a significant piece of dining real estate in one of the busiest sections of the complex. As of the original report, however, no replacement restaurant had been announced.

There is also currently no confirmed indication that Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill will relocate elsewhere at Walt Disney World or in Central Florida.

What Should You Do If You Have a Reservation?

For now, we wouldn’t immediately panic if Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill appears on your upcoming Disney World itinerary. But we also wouldn’t ignore this news. If your reservation falls during September 2026, check it periodically through whatever booking service you used and watch for communication regarding a cancellation or change.

Reservations scheduled for October or later deserve particular attention because they were apparently still being accepted even though the restaurant is reportedly expected to close during September. And if Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is a favorite that you’d like to visit one more time, September may be your final opportunity. Just keep in mind that we do not currently have a confirmed last day of operation.

That means making plans around an assumed closing date could backfire. Until an official date appears, the safest strategy is to visit sooner rather than waiting until the end of the month. There are still dozens of other restaurants, lounges, quick-service locations, and snack spots throughout Disney Springs, so the closure won’t leave guests short on dining choices.

But losing Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill would still mark the end of another chapter in the district’s relatively young Disney Springs era. And the lack of an official announcement makes this one particularly interesting.

For now, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill remains open at Disney Springs, and the reported closure is expected sometime in September 2026. We’ll be watching for confirmation of its final operating date, information regarding existing reservations, and (perhaps most intriguingly) what might eventually take over the space.
