Universal Studios Hollywood just announced another scare zone for Halloween Horror Nights 2026, and this one’s bringing the circus…literally.

Universal

Say hello to El Circo de la Muerte, or “The Circus of Death,” and yes, it’s exactly as unsettling as it sounds.

Universal’s description paints this as a traveling circus hosting every kind of horrifying act imaginable, from the psychologically twisted to the flat-out monstrous — the kind of place you visit and come out changed, assuming you come out at all. So, no pressure heading in.

This event runs on select nights from September 3 through November 1 at Universal Studios Hollywood, and El Circo de la Muerte joins an already stacked lineup this year. On the haunted house side, guests can expect Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, Evil Dead Burn, Hellraiser, Stranger Things 5, Sinners, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, and Killceanera, the last of which features music from Slash and Dead, Deader, Deadest. That’s a genuinely wild mix of horror IP in one park.

Beyond El Circo de la Muerte, other confirmed scare zones include Fortnite and Hackerz, and Nikki from Obsession is set to make an appearance throughout the event as well. And after two years of Blumhouse-themed Terror Trams, 2026 is shaking things up — this year’s tram will star Art the Clown, complete with original music from Ice Nine Kills. Safe to say the clown-and-carnival horror quota is being thoroughly met this season.

With this many houses, zones, and tram experiences stacked into one event, Halloween Horror Nights 2026 is shaping up to be one of the more ambitious lineups Universal Studios Hollywood has put together in a while.

Are you brave enough for El Circo de la Muerte this year? Let me know which house or scare zone you’re most excited (or terrified) for!
