Universal Studios Japan has officially announced its 2026 fall seasonal event, Universal Extreme Autumn: Discover U!!!, which will run from September 10 through November 8, 2026.

As the park celebrates its 25th anniversary, this year’s fall festivities will also mark a major milestone for one of Japan’s most iconic Halloween events. Halloween Horror Nights celebrates its 15th anniversary, promising the most intense and terrifying edition in the event’s history.

Beginning September 11, guests can experience an all-new season of “despair-inducing horror,” featuring more zombies, brand-new attractions, returning fan favorites, and collaborations with globally popular franchises.

Halloween Horror Nights Evolves to a New Level

Since its debut in 2011, Halloween Horror Nights has become one of Japan’s signature autumn events, transforming Universal Studios Japan into a terrifying nighttime experience. For its 15th anniversary, USJ says every aspect of the event has been pushed beyond previous limits.

The park-wide lineup includes larger street experiences, immersive horror attractions, anime collaborations, and interactive entertainment unlike ever before.

Street Zombies Returns Bigger Than Ever

The fan-favorite Street Zombies experience returns with the largest number of zombies in event history.

A brand-new storyline celebrates 15 years of Halloween Horror Nights as hordes of zombies overrun the park, turning familiar streets into scenes of complete chaos.

  • Location: Throughout the park (excluding select areas)
  • Time: 6:00 p.m. until park close

Zombie de Dance Celebrates 15 Years

The popular Zombie de Dance returns, once again featuring King Gnu’s “SO BAD.”

To celebrate the anniversary, the final performance each night will include a special medley of previous Halloween Horror Nights collaborations, including:

  • Ado – “Show (唱)”
  • J SOUL BROTHERS III – “Rat-tat-tat”

A brand-new anniversary stage production, Halloween Horror Night Academy: 15 Years of Screams, will also debut in Gramercy Park, bringing together legendary zombies and horror icons from the past 15 years.

NEW: Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive

One of this year’s biggest additions is an entirely new attraction inspired by Resident Evil Requiem, the latest installment in Capcom’s legendary survival horror franchise, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

Guests will explore the eerie Renwood Hotel and an abandoned medical facility, where terrifying creatures attack from every direction in an unpredictable walkthrough experience.

Another new overlay, Zombie de Dance × Hollywood Dream – The Ride, brings past Zombie de Dance songs to both the forward and backward roller coaster experiences.
