It’s just a bunch of Hocus Pocus, and Disney fans are about to run “amuck” once again.

D23 has officially announced the return of the Black Flame Ball, bringing one of its most popular Halloween fan events back to Salem, Massachusetts, on September 25, 2026. Timed to coincide with Salem’s Quadricentennial celebration, commemorating the city’s 400th anniversary, the event promises an unforgettable day and night filled with Disney magic inspired by Hocus Pocus.

One of the biggest highlights this year is the appearance of Doug Jones, who portrayed the beloved Billy Butcherson in both Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2. Fans will have the chance to celebrate alongside the fan-favorite actor during an evening inspired by the iconic Halloween party scene from the original film.

Before the Black Flame Ball begins, guests will embark on a guided walking tour through Salem led by Black Cat Tours. The experience includes visits to historic landmarks throughout the city while also taking attendees to several recognizable filming locations from the original Hocus Pocus, allowing fans to quite literally walk in the footsteps of Max, Dani, Allison, and Thackery Binx.

As night falls, the Black Flame Ball officially begins with live entertainment, music, food, snacks, and an open bar for guests 21 and older with valid identification. Guests are encouraged to arrive in costume, whether channeling one of the Sanderson Sisters, Billy Butcherson, “Dad-cula,” or another Halloween favorite, as the evening celebrates one of Disney’s most beloved spooky classics. The event will also feature an appearance by the Sanderson Sisters, helping bring the magic of the films to life.

Each event ticket also includes several exclusive keepsakes and experiences, including:

• A limited-release Black Flame Ball collectible pin
• An event credential and swag bag
• The guided Black Cat Tours walking tour
• Admission to the Black Flame Ball festivities

For fans who can’t attend the ball itself, D23 is also hosting a FREE outdoor screening of the original Hocus Pocus on September 24 on the steps of Old Town Hall in partnership with Creative Collective, giving everyone a chance to celebrate the spooky season in Salem.

Tickets for the Black Flame Ball go on sale Wednesday, June 24, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Pricing is $259 for D23 Gold Members and $299 for General Members, plus a $3 processing fee. Quantities are limited, and D23 expects the event to sell quickly.
