Guests hoping to ride one of Pixar Pier’s family attractions will have to wait just a little bit longer.
Disneyland Resort has once again pushed back the reopening of Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind at Disney California Adventure after the attraction missed its scheduled reopening date following an extended refurbishment.
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind was originally scheduled to reopen on June 18, 2026, but the attraction remained closed throughout the day. Disney has since updated the official Disneyland calendar, with the ride now expected to reopen on June 19, 2026.
Although the attraction wasn’t operating, construction walls surrounding the ride have been removed, and crews were spotted performing final work and testing during the day.
The Pixar Pier attraction has been closed since February 2026 for an extended refurbishment.
While Disney has not shared details about the work being completed, the attraction appears to be in its final stages of preparation as Cast Members put the finishing touches on the ride before welcoming guests back.
If the updated schedule holds, guests visiting Disney California Adventure beginning June 19 should once again be able to experience the family-friendly attraction inspired by Pixar’s Inside Out.
