Disney has officially pulled back the curtain on one of its most anticipated hotel projects, and the newly released concept art has us ready to start planning a trip.

Shanghai Disney Resort continues to grow, and one of its biggest expansion projects just reached an exciting milestone. Disney has officially announced the name of the resort’s third themed hotel, while also sharing a beautiful new look at what guests can expect when it opens.
From its location overlooking Wishing Star Lake to its elegant architecture inspired by Shanghai’s rich history, this new resort is shaping up to be much more than just another place to stay.
Meet the New Enchanted Star Hotel
Disney has officially announced that Shanghai Disney Resort’s third themed hotel will be called Enchanted Star Hotel.

The hotel was first announced in 2023, with construction progressing steadily ever since. Now, Disney has shared both the official name and an updated piece of concept art, giving fans their best look yet at the upcoming resort.
A Prime Location Along Wishing Star Lake
Enchanted Star Hotel will be located along the shores of Wishing Star Lake, offering guests picturesque views of Shanghai Disneyland.

The location places the resort in one of the most scenic areas of the destination while continuing Disney’s vision of expanding Shanghai Disney Resort into a true multi-day vacation destination.
The hotel will feature 400 guest rooms, making it another boutique-style option compared to some of the resort’s larger accommodations.
Inspired by Shanghai’s History with a Disney Twist
One of the most exciting details is the design inspiration behind the new hotel.
Disney says Enchanted Star Hotel draws influence from Art Nouveau architecture and design, paying tribute to Shanghai’s early 20th-century architectural legacy.

At the same time, Disney says the resort will remain true to its guiding philosophy of being:
“Authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese.”
That combination has become one of the defining characteristics of Shanghai Disney Resort since it first opened, blending Disney storytelling with local culture and architecture in a way that feels unique to the destination.
More Than Just a Place to Sleep
As with Disney’s other destination hotels, Enchanted Star Hotel is designed to extend the magic beyond the theme park gates.
Disney says guests can expect:
- Immersive Disney-themed spaces and activities
- Disney characters and storytelling woven throughout the hotel
- New dining experiences
- New shopping opportunities
- New entertainment offerings
- Indoor and outdoor recreational amenities and programming
The goal is to create another hotel experience that feels like an extension of the theme park rather than simply a place to spend the night.
Shanghai Disney Resort Keeps Growing
The announcement of Enchanted Star Hotel isn’t the only expansion underway.
Disney also reminded guests that a fourth themed hotel is already in development.

Announced in late 2025, the fourth hotel will be built closer to the entrance of Shanghai Disneyland. In addition to adding more guest accommodations, that project will also expand the resort’s shopping and dining offerings while creating a new gateway into the destination.
Between new hotels and continued expansion projects, it’s clear Disney has big plans for the future of Shanghai Disney Resort.

Shanghai Disney Resort continues to invest in its future, and Enchanted Star Hotel is shaping up to become another beautiful addition to the destination.
With 400 guest rooms, a prime location overlooking Wishing Star Lake, elegant Art Nouveau-inspired architecture, and Disney’s signature blend of storytelling and cultural inspiration, the new hotel looks poised to offer guests another unforgettable place to stay.
And with a fourth themed hotel already on the way, it’s clear that Shanghai Disney Resort is only getting bigger.
