A massive horse structure is taking shape inside Universal Studios Florida, and fans already think they know what it’s for.
Guests and aerial photographers have spotted a large horse being assembled inside Universal Studios Florida, sparking speculation that the installation could be tied to Universal Pictures’ upcoming film, The Odyssey.
Photos show the impressive structure currently under construction, with crews assembling what appears to be a giant horse head and neck atop a steel support frame. The figure features a sculpted foam exterior designed to resemble carved wood, giving it the appearance of a classic Trojan Horse.
At the moment, Universal Orlando Resort has not officially announced the purpose of the structure.
However, many fans have already connected the dots to Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic film The Odyssey, which is based on Homer’s ancient Greek tale and is scheduled to release next year. The legendary Trojan Horse plays a central role in the mythology surrounding the story, making it a logical fit for promotional efforts.
Construction photos reveal that the horse is being built using a steel framework covered with large sculpted foam sections. The installation is still incomplete, with portions of the structure visibly being added as work continues.
The horse has quickly become one of the most talked-about new additions inside the park, with guests eagerly watching to see what Universal has planned and whether additional themed elements will appear around the display.
For now, Universal has remained silent on the project, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on the mysterious structure as construction progresses.
