Move over, roller coasters — one of the biggest theme park openings of the summer is for families!

Six Flags

Six Flags Magic Mountain may be known as the Thrill Capital of the World, but the California theme park is making a major investment in younger guests with the grand opening of its all-new Looney Tunes Land.

Officially debuting on June 6, 2026, the reimagined land transforms the former Bugs Bunny World into a much larger, more immersive experience inspired by some of Warner Bros.’ most iconic animated characters. From Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck to Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, and the Tasmanian Devil, the new area brings the world of Looney Tunes to life through themed attractions, interactive experiences, and character-driven storytelling.

A Complete Reimagining of Bugs Bunny World

The new Looney Tunes Land isn’t simply a retheme.

Six Flags

According to Six Flags, the area was designed to capture the nostalgia and charm of the classic Chuck Jones era of Looney Tunes while creating a more immersive experience for today’s families. The project replaces the former Bugs Bunny World with four distinct themed environments, each centered around a different group of beloved characters.

The transformation represents one of the largest family-focused investments at Six Flags Magic Mountain in recent years and helps expand the park’s appeal beyond its record-breaking collection of roller coasters.

Four Distinct Looney Tunes Worlds

At the heart of the new land is Bugs Bunny Play Park, a central gathering area where families can explore interactive play spaces inspired by Bugs Bunny’s home. Guests will also find the refreshed Merrie Melodies Carousel, updated dining areas, picnic spaces, and even an explorable version of Granny’s House.

Over in Road Runner Ridge, guests enter a desert-inspired landscape filled with references to the endless chase between Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. The area incorporates themed scenery, ACME-inspired gags, and plenty of hidden details for fans to discover.

Families can then venture into TAZ-Mania, a tropical environment themed to the Tasmanian Devil. The area features Taz’s Tasmanian Train Tours, a rethemed version of the former train attraction, along with a new exploration trail and interactive elements designed for younger visitors.

The fourth area, Camp Duck Amuck, puts Daffy Duck in charge of a High Sierra-inspired wilderness camp complete with refreshed attractions, updated theming, and conservation-inspired storytelling.

Designed for the Next Generation of Theme Park Fans

While Six Flags Magic Mountain is famous for attractions like Twisted Colossus, X2, Tatsu, and Wonder Woman Flight of Courage, Looney Tunes Land gives younger guests a dedicated destination with age-appropriate experiences and interactive play opportunities.

The new land features refreshed rides, upgraded landscaping, expanded character encounters, and immersive environments designed to encourage exploration rather than simply waiting in attraction queues. This approach mirrors a growing trend across the theme park industry, where family-friendly lands are increasingly built around storytelling and interactive play.

KTLA

Looney Tunes characters have been part of the Six Flags experience for more than four decades, making this new land both a modernization effort and a celebration of the long-running partnership between Six Flags and Warner Bros. Discovery.

The opening also arrives at an important time for Six Flags Magic Mountain as the park continues balancing its reputation as a thrill-seeker destination while expanding offerings for families and multi-generational visitors.

For guests planning summer vacations to Southern California theme parks, Looney Tunes Land adds another major reason to spend a day at Six Flags Magic Mountain in 2026.
