If you’ve ever wished Avengers Campus felt more like a comic book convention come to life, today might be your lucky day.

Disney California Adventure is celebrating the fifth anniversary of Avengers Campus with an incredible lineup of Marvel superheroes and fan-favorite characters, including several that guests rarely get the opportunity to meet in the parks.
From Moon Knight to members of the Eternals, Avengers Campus is packed with surprise appearances throughout the day, making this one of the most exciting days for Marvel fans visiting Disneyland Resort.

Since opening on June 4, 2021, Avengers Campus has become the Marvel hub of Disney California Adventure, bringing together heroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe for encounters, entertainment, attractions, and live-action storytelling. To celebrate five years of heroic adventures, Disney appears to be pulling out all the stops with a roster of characters that goes far beyond the usual Spider-Man and Avengers lineup.
One of the biggest surprises is the appearance of Moon Knight, who is scheduled to make multiple appearances throughout the evening near Avengers Campus. The fan-favorite vigilante, who serves as the avatar of Khonshu in Marvel lore, is one of the rarest Marvel characters to appear in Disney Parks and has become a highly sought-after meet-and-greet for Marvel fans.

But Moon Knight is far from the only rare hero making an appearance.
Guests visiting Avengers Campus today may also encounter:
- Agatha Harkness
- America Chavez
- Ant-Man
- Black Panther
- Black Widow
- Captain Marvel
- Hawkeye
- Kingo
- Loki
- Ms. Marvel
- Phastos
- Red Guardian
- Sersi
- Shang-Chi
- The Wasp
- The Mighty Thor
- Monica Rambeau
- Scarlet Witch
Perhaps the most exciting part of the celebration is seeing characters like Phastos, Sersi, and Kingo from Marvel’s Eternals represented in Avengers Campus. These heroes rarely appear in Disney Parks, making today an especially noteworthy event for longtime Marvel fans and character collectors hoping to cross some rare encounters off their list.

Likewise, Red Guardian has become increasingly popular following recent Marvel appearances, while characters such as Agatha Harkness, Monica Rambeau, and Moon Knight remain among the most requested Marvel meet-and-greet opportunities at Disney Parks.

Throughout the day, guests have reported seeing character appearance markers spread throughout Avengers Campus, Ancient Sanctum, and surrounding areas, creating an atmosphere that feels more like an Avengers recruitment event than a typical park day.

For Marvel fans, days like this are exactly what make Avengers Campus special. You never know when Disney might bring out a rare character, debut a new hero, or surprise guests with an appearance that wasn’t heavily advertised beforehand.

If you’re currently visiting Disney California Adventure, this is definitely one of those days where you’ll want to keep your eyes on the Disneyland app and spend some extra time exploring Avengers Campus. You never know which Marvel hero might step around the corner next.
