Disney just gave fans a peek behind the construction walls…and one whimsical new addition is already stealing the spotlight!
Disney has released a new look inside the future, The Magic of Disney Animation, currently under construction as part of the transformation of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The newly released images offer a closer look at Drawn to Wonderland, an indoor Alice in Wonderland-themed playground being created specifically for children ages 5 and under.
The colorful play space is designed to immerse young guests in the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland, giving little ones a dedicated area to explore, play, and interact while surrounded by inspiration from the beloved animated classic.
Drawn to Wonderland will be one of the experiences housed inside The Magic of Disney Animation, a new attraction that celebrates Disney’s rich animation history and creative storytelling. The project is part of the ongoing expansion and reimagining of The Walt Disney Studios courtyard, formerly known as Animation Courtyard.
While Disney has not yet revealed every detail about the finished experience, the latest construction update shows that work is continuing to move forward, with themed elements beginning to take shape inside the building.
The new images provide one of the best looks yet at what families can expect when the attraction opens, particularly for younger guests who will have a dedicated play area inspired by one of Disney’s most iconic stories.
Imagineers worked to touch on all kinds of play, including sensory marbles, different colors of clouds, and more.
They even found a way to work in the Tulgey Woods area, along with their very own Hatter’s House, which is one of the focal pieces of the playground.
But one of the highlights of the play areas has to be where you can flip over red and white roses on spinners to “paint the roses red.”
As construction continues, Disney fans can expect more updates on The Magic of Disney Animation and the growing list of new experiences coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon.
