Fresh construction activity at Disneyland Paris is once again sparking speculation about the long-rumored third theme park planned for the resort. A newly developing berm area has been spotted on land reserved for a potential future park, marking the second such project observed in recent months and raising new questions about Disney’s long-term plans for the destination.

According to reports and recent construction photos shared by DLP Works on Instagram, work is underway on another berm area located within the land designated for a possible third theme park at Disneyland Paris. The project is taking place behind Disney Sequoia Lodge, near the area that has long been reserved under agreements between Disney and the French government for future expansion.

The purpose of the berm is believed to be the creation of a visual and sound barrier. If a third theme park is eventually built, the future park would sit directly behind Disney Sequoia Lodge, making such infrastructure important for separating construction and future operations from existing resort areas.

Why Fans Are Paying Attention

While berm construction alone does not confirm a new theme park, fans have been closely monitoring activity on the site because of its location.

Disneyland Paris has maintained land reserved for a potential third gate for decades. Under agreements with the French government, Disney currently has until March 24, 2036, to move forward with plans before risking the loss of development rights for the reserved property. That deadline was extended from its previous 2026 requirement through an amendment approved in 2020.

The appearance of multiple berm projects in the area has led some fans to wonder whether Disney is beginning preliminary site preparation work long before any formal announcement is made. However, Disney has not commented on the purpose of the construction.

Disneyland Paris Is Already in the Middle of Massive Expansion

Of course, Disneyland Paris is already undergoing its largest transformation in resort history.

In 2026, Walt Disney Studios Park will officially become Disney Adventure World, anchored by the opening of World of Frozen, Adventure Way, Adventure Bay, and a new nighttime spectacular. Construction is also progressing on a major land themed to Disney’s The Lion King, which will expand the park even further in the years ahead.

Given the scale of those investments, many industry observers believe Disney’s immediate focus remains on completing the transformation of its second gate before turning attention toward a potential third park.

A Third Park Remains Unconfirmed

At this time, Disney has not announced plans to build a third theme park at Disneyland Paris.

However, the continued activity within the reserved expansion zone is likely to keep speculation alive among Disney Parks fans eager to see what could eventually become the resort’s next major chapter. Whether the new berm construction is related to future infrastructure, environmental planning, or something much larger remains to be seen.

For now, all eyes remain on the land beyond Disney Sequoia Lodge.
