It took less than a week for guests to start leaving their mark on Disney World’s newest attraction, and not in a good way!

Disney

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets has quickly become one of the hottest attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios since its official debut on May 26. Fans have been flocking to experience the reimagined coaster featuring Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, celebrity cameos, Easter eggs, and tributes to Muppet history. But just days after opening, some guests are already causing damage inside the attraction’s queue, raising concerns about how long some of the newly installed themed elements will remain intact.

Just days after Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets officially opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, signs of guest-caused damage have already appeared in the attraction’s standby queue.

According to photos shared by @CoasterK24 on X, guests have been peeling paint from portions of the queue walls, exposing lighter-colored material underneath. The damage appears along sections of the standby queue where themed wall treatments were recently installed as part of the attraction’s Muppets transformation.

The newly reimagined attraction officially opened on May 26, 2026, replacing the former Aerosmith storyline with an all-new adventure starring The Muppets and The Electric Mayhem.

A Popular New Addition to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Since opening, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets has generated significant excitement among Disney fans.

The attraction retains the high-speed coaster experience guests know and love while introducing a completely new story featuring Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem band. Riders race through Hollywood landmarks while listening to one of several music tracks created specifically for the attraction.

The queue itself is packed with details, celebrity appearances, references to classic Muppet attractions, and nods to Muppet history. Disney Imagineers intentionally filled the experience with Easter eggs and tributes designed to reward repeat rides and careful observation.

Unfortunately, some of those newly themed environments are already showing wear due to guest behavior rather than normal operations.

Why Queue Damage Matters

While peeling paint may seem minor, damage to themed environments can create additional maintenance work and potentially impact the guest experience.

Part of the Muppets memorabilia in the queue

One of the reasons Disney attractions are so immersive is the level of detail placed into every element of the queue, pre-show, and ride experience. When guests intentionally damage sets, props, or themed surfaces, it can detract from the storytelling and atmosphere Imagineers worked to create.

The Muppets version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster represents one of the biggest attraction transformations Disney’s Hollywood Studios has seen in recent years. The attraction is loaded with references to MuppetVision 3D, celebrity cameos, returning props, and tributes to creator Jim Henson.

End of the ride

With so many fans excited to experience the attraction for the first time, many are hoping the damaged areas can be repaired quickly before additional wear occurs.

The Muppets Have Officially Taken Over Sunset Boulevard

The opening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets marked a major milestone for Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

After the closure of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith earlier this year, Disney transformed the attraction into a new experience centered around The Electric Mayhem. The updated ride features new music, new story elements, updated queue spaces, celebrity appearances, and countless Muppet-themed details throughout the experience.

Disney

The attraction has quickly become one of the most talked-about additions to Walt Disney World in 2026, making it even more disappointing to see parts of the queue already being damaged only days after opening.

Hopefully, Disney is able to address the affected areas quickly—and guests remember that preserving these immersive environments helps keep the magic alive for everyone who visits.
