This is definitely NOT how Disney wanted today to start.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run has remained down all morning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios following an evacuation shortly after the attraction was supposed to officially debut its brand-new The Mandalorian and Grogu overlay today in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
UPDATE: The ride has safely reopened for the day.
Guests waiting among the first riders of the morning were evacuated from the attraction queue shortly after entering the building as Disney Cast Members safely escorted guests back outside the attraction.
From what we were told as we were being evacuated this morning, Cast Members mentioned a small fire incident that may have triggered the evacuation. However, no visible smoke or fire was seen by guests before the attraction was cleared. Disney has not officially confirmed the cause of the downtime at this time.

The attraction was expected to debut its highly anticipated Mandalorian and Grogu overlay today featuring:
- New mission storylines
- Updated planets and flight paths
- Grogu interactions
- New gameplay elements
- Updated pre-show scenes
- New ride footage and effects
Fans had lined up early this morning hoping to be among the first guests to experience the massive update.

As of now, the attraction still has not reopened.
And honestly? Considering how anticipated this overlay launch was, today’s downtime is already drawing a LOT of attention from Disney and Star Wars fans online.
We’ll continue monitoring the situation and update this post once Disney officially reopens the attraction or confirms additional details surrounding the evacuation and downtime.
