We’ve got some GOOD news out of EPCOT’s France Pavilion.
After being closed for refurbishment for several weeks, Palais du Cinéma is now officially reopened at EPCOT — meaning guests can once again experience both Impressions de France and the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along inside the pavilion.
The France Pavilion attraction building had been temporarily closed for refurbishment work in recent weeks. While the original reopening timeline pointed toward May 10, the attraction actually reopened one day earlier than expected.
Now that the theater is operational again, guests can once again enjoy both Impressions de France and the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along inside the Palais du Cinéma theater at EPCOT’s World Showcase.
The reopening restores one of EPCOT’s quieter indoor attractions just as Walt Disney World enters another busy summer season.
One of the more unique things about Palais du Cinéma is that it houses two completely different experiences throughout the day.
Impressions de France remains one of EPCOT’s classic World Showcase films, showcasing sweeping footage of France accompanied by a grand orchestral soundtrack. The film has been part of EPCOT in various forms for decades and remains a favorite among longtime fans.
Meanwhile, the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along debuted in 2020 and was created by Don Hahn, producer of the original animated Beauty and the Beast film.
The sing-along offers a more modern, family-focused experience while still utilizing the same theater space.
The reopening comes during a period where EPCOT has continued juggling multiple refurbishments, closures, and attraction updates throughout the park.
Several attractions, entertainment offerings, and pavilion spaces across Walt Disney World have undergone temporary refurbishments throughout 2026 as Disney prepares for a busy summer season and upcoming projects connected to America’s 250th anniversary celebrations next year.
And honestly? EPCOT fans are probably relieved anytime a reopening happens right now instead of another closure announcement.
Even though newer attractions tend to grab more attention, Impressions de France has quietly built a huge fanbase over the years.
The film is often praised for its orchestral score, scenic cinematography, nostalgic EPCOT atmosphere, relaxing theater experience, and classic World Showcase energy.
For many longtime EPCOT visitors, it represents the slower, more atmospheric style of entertainment that helped define the original EPCOT experience.
