While Universal is known for creating unforgettable experiences inside its parks, a new update highlights something happening beyond the attractions. Across the globe, Team Members spent April giving back in meaningful ways, and the impact is far-reaching.

Throughout April, Universal Destinations & Experiences Team Members across the globe came together for Global Volunteer Month, partnering with local organizations to support their communities through hands-on service.

Volunteerism is a core part of Universal’s culture, with Team Members encouraged to give back year-round through the company’s Global Volunteer Program. Global Volunteer Month serves as a dedicated time to amplify those efforts and showcase the collective impact being made worldwide.

From the U.S. to Asia, teams participated in a wide range of volunteer initiatives designed to support local needs.

In Beijing, volunteers from Universal Beijing Resort helped clean up sections of the Great Wall, collecting waste and even building bird habitats. Along the way, they connected with more than 300 local residents, reinforcing a shared commitment to preserving cultural landmarks.

In Osaka, Team Members from Universal Studios Japan joined a community cleanup effort in the Konohana Ward, working alongside local leaders to collect trash and improve the surrounding area.

In the United States, teams also stepped up in a big way.

Volunteers connected to the upcoming Universal Kids Resort partnered with Refresh NTX to assemble hygiene kits for students—providing essential supplies while building early relationships within the local community.

In Las Vegas, volunteers from Universal Horror Unleashed worked with Project 150, sorting donations and stocking shelves with supplies for high school students in need.

Meanwhile, at Universal Studios Hollywood, Team Members partnered with the LA Regional Food Bank to prepare and distribute nonperishable food kits to 470 households. They also created bookmarks that were donated alongside books to local communities.

Closer to home, volunteers at Universal Orlando Resort took part in multiple initiatives.

Some worked with Second Harvest Food Bank, sorting donations and assembling food boxes for families, while others partnered with Soldiers’ Angels to organize and pack groceries for military veterans and their families.

Teams from Universal Creative and Universal Products & Experiences also joined local volunteer efforts, contributing their time and skills to communities where they live and work.
