Halloween planning season at Disney just officially began!

A brand-new social media post from Disney Parks is sending a clear message: spooky season is right around the corner.
In a cryptic teaser tied to “Halfway to Halloween,” Disney shared a spooky-themed visual hinting that major Halloween announcements are coming very soon—likely within days.
And if you’ve followed Disney long enough, you already know what that means! Disney didn’t confirm dates, tickets, or details (yet), but this type of teaser is very intentional.
“Halfway to Halloween” has become Disney’s unofficial kickoff for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party announcements, first looks at Halloween entertainment and characters, and early previews of merchandise, food, and park decorations.
It marks the start of the Halloween rollout. In the caption, Disney hid a few clues as to when we could expect the first dates of Halloween to official kick off around Disney Parks. The caption reads: When the pumpkin hour chimes just right,
A clock Unveils secrets within siGht. 🎃 Check the hands, then coUnt the patch,
the harveSt holds the first date to caTch! 🕰️
If you take a close look at the pumpkins, you’ll count 7 in total. And the weird way the lettering was capitalized could mean an August 7 start date for the first sign of Halloween at Disney.
If you’re even thinking about doing Halloween at Walt Disney World or Disneyland this year…your planning timeline just moved up.
Historically, once this teaser drops, full event dates are announced shortly after, tickets go on sale quickly (often within days), and popular nights begin selling out fast!
And with demand hitting record levels last year, 2026 is expected to be even more competitive.
If Halloween at Disney is on your radar, this is your sign to start planning now—not later. Stay tuned, because once the full announcement drops, things move fast—and the best dates won’t last long.
