Magic Kingdom mornings just got a whole lot more magical again!

Disney

If you’ve been rope-dropping Magic Kingdom lately, you may have noticed something missing from your early park routine. But now, one of the park’s most beloved stage shows is stepping back into the spotlight, and at a time that could seriously change how you plan your day.

As construction work around Cinderella Castle continues to wind down, Disney is restoring a bit of that classic morning magic. And trust me, this small shift could have a surprisingly big impact on crowds, wait times, and your overall park strategy.

Disney is officially moving Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire back to a morning performance schedule beginning May 10 with an 11:10 AM showtime after a period of adjusted showtimes due to ongoing castle work.

Additional performances daily at 12:30 PM, 1:50 PM, 4 PM, and 5:15 PM.

Previously pushed later into the day, the show’s return to earlier time slots signals that construction in the area is nearing completion — a welcome sight for fans who’ve been dodging scaffolding and stage limitations.

This fan-favorite show features appearances from Mickey, Minnie, and a lineup of Disney favorites, including characters from Frozen, Tangled, and The Princess and the Frog. It’s bright, energetic, and honestly one of the best ways to kick off your park day.

Morning entertainment like Friendship Faire tends to pull crowds toward the castle hub earlier in the day. That means attractions in lands like Adventureland and Frontierland could see slightly lower wait times during those first couple of hours. If you’re someone who likes to zig while others zag, this is your moment.

On the flip side, if catching the show is a priority, you’ll want to factor it into your rope drop plans. Prime viewing spots fill quickly, especially as more guests realize the show is back where it “belongs.”

The timing here isn’t random. As work wraps up around Cinderella Castle, we’re likely entering a new phase of park normalcy — one where entertainment offerings continue to expand and stabilize across Walt Disney World.

And if history tells us anything, when one piece of entertainment returns to form, more updates usually follow.

Planning a Disney trip right now means staying flexible and staying informed. Keep checking back for the latest updates, entertainment changes, and insider tips to make the most of your park day. Because in true Disney fashion…things can change overnight.
