Yoshi is staying longer at Epic Universe?!

If you didn’t manage to catch Yoshi during his original limited-time run at Epic Universe, you might be in luck — because new reports suggest the beloved Nintendo character’s meet and greet has been extended beyond its initial window, giving guests more time to experience one of Super Nintendo World’s most popular limited offerings.
According to a post on X by HHNSpeculationMatt, Yoshi is sticking around for a little longer than planned. Originally introduced as part of a limited celebration tied to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Yoshi’s appearance quickly became one of the most in-demand character experiences inside Universal’s newest theme park. The meet and greet allowed guests to interact with Yoshi in person and take photos inside Super Nintendo World, adding a rare layer of character interaction beyond the land’s attractions like Yoshi’s Adventure.
Now, according to early reporting and fan updates circulating from inside the park community, that initial limited-time window is being extended through August — meaning guests visiting Epic Universe in the coming weeks may still have a chance to meet him, depending on scheduling and daily availability.

While Universal has not always positioned Yoshi as a permanent walk-around character at Epic Universe, his seasonal debut has already proven how strong demand is for expanded Nintendo character offerings. Guests have consistently lined up early for meet-and-greets, with time slots often filling quickly due to the popularity of the experience and its limited daily appearances.
Part of what makes this extension so notable is how rare Yoshi’s in-person appearances have been in U.S. parks outside of special events. His presence at Epic Universe marks one of the most significant character expansions for Super Nintendo World, giving fans a chance to interact with him outside of ride-based storytelling and digital experiences.

The timing also aligns with Universal’s broader push around Nintendo-themed promotions, which have included movie tie-ins, themed snacks, and limited merchandise releases across Super Nintendo World locations. That synergy has helped turn what could have been a short-term activation into one of the most talked-about seasonal offerings in the park.
If the extension continues, it could also signal something bigger for Epic Universe’s future character lineup — especially as Universal continues to test how live character interactions fit into its newest immersive land.
For now, guests planning upcoming visits should keep an eye on in-park schedules and app updates, as availability is expected to remain limited even with the extended run.
Stay tuned for more Epic Universe updates, Super Nintendo World news, and character meet-and-greet announcements as Universal continues to expand what’s possible inside its newest park!
