Okay, so it’s October 12th. I haven’t even finished eating the Halloween candy I bought “for the trick-or-treaters” (let’s be honest, it was for me), and Disney is already handing out Christmas.

A little early holiday magic, they say. A new assortment of Mickey Family Christmas merch and ornaments just released. And I am, once again, a person with no self-control.
Here’s the thing about holiday merchandise at Disney. It never sneaks up on you gently. It shows up in photos, you tell yourself you’re “just looking,” and then three paragraphs later you’re mentally rearranging your tree to make room for a plush duck. (No? Just me? Okay.)
So let’s walk through what’s in this new drop, based on the photos that came with the announcement.
The apparel and accessories first:
- A red Minnie Mouse “Happy Holidays” sweatshirt with a half-snap front. It’s cozy, it’s festive, and it’s the kind of thing you can wear to a park in December and not feel overdressed OR underdressed.
- A white Christmas-tree-shaped crossbody bag. It’s adorable. I can’t stop looking at it.
- A little Mickey peppermint coin purse that pairs with it like it was made to be a set.

- A cream pullover in that Spirit Jersey style, with a plaid and polka-dot “MERRY CHRISTMAS” graphic across the back. The front is simple, but the back is the whole show.

And then the ornaments, which is where I’m in real trouble:
- A set of plush duck ornaments dressed up as Disney characters. Looking at the photo, I think I can make out a pirate-style duck, a Sorcerer Mickey-style duck, a Tinker Bell-style duck, a Stitch-style duck, and maybe a Darkwing Duck-style duck. I’m going off the pictures here, so don’t hold me to those guesses.

- A Pluto-themed ears ornament with antlers and jingle bells. I mean. Come on.
- Baymax in a Santa hat, peeking out of a chimney.
- Stitch in a glittery Santa suit, holding Scrump.

That’s a lot of cute in one batch.
Here’s where I have to be honest with you. The announcement is a tease, and it didn’t come with the boring-but-important stuff. I don’t have confirmed prices, exact product names, or a full list of where each item is being sold. I also can’t tell you whether every piece will be at every park and shop, or whether some of it is online only.
What I can tell you is that Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Family Christmas collection has been rolling out this season. Disney has said that holiday ornaments featuring beloved characters are part of the lineup, and the Disney Store side of the collection began on DisneyStore.com in September, with more said to be “coming soon” to the parks. I can’t say for certain that the items in these photos are part of that exact release, so please treat this as a first look and not a shopping list. Check the official Disney sites or ask a Cast Member at your local shop before you plan a whole trip around any one item.
One more honest note. Holiday merch tends to move quickly, especially the ornaments and the cute little extras. If something in these photos has your name on it, I wouldn’t wait until December to start looking.

I know some of you are rolling your eyes at Christmas merchandise in October. Fair! I get it. But I’ll be the first to admit I’m the person who goes back for the one ornament I “didn’t need” three weeks later and finds it gone. So early drops like this actually work in my favor. I get to browse slowly, think it over, and then buy the thing anyway.
If I had to pick favorites right now? The Baymax chimney ornament is already living in my head rent-free. The Stitch in the Santa suit with Scrump is a very close second. And those duck ornaments, ugh, I love a good character-costume moment, so I’ll be hunting for the Sorcerer Mickey-style one in particular. The tree bag is the sleeper hit for me. It’s the kind of accessory that makes a park outfit feel like a holiday outfit without trying too hard.
My only wish is that Disney would show us prices up front. Half the fun (and half the panic) of a drop like this is knowing what to budget for.
So tell me, what’s your first pick? Are you an early shopper or a wait-until-it’s-snowing-somewhere person? I’d love to know. And keep an eye on Theme Park Scope, because as soon as I see prices and locations for this collection, I’ll share them with you so you can plan your holiday haul without the guesswork.
