Hallmark just added a shrunken-headed background character to its 2026 Keepsake lineup, and somehow that’s exactly what makes it work.
If you’d told me a few years ago that a wordless side character with a tiny head would end up on a Christmas tree next to Santa and Rudolph, I wouldn’t have believed you. And yet, here we are.
The new Bob as Beetlejuice Keepsake Ornament is now available on Hallmark’s website for $23.99, depicting Bob, from 2024’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, dressed in the character’s signature black-and-white striped suit. It’s plastic, measures 1.75 by 4.75 by 0.75 inches, comes with a hanger attachment, and ships in a branded gift box. Hallmark’s own product description leans into the joke as much as the fans do, describing Bob as a loyal Shrinker who worked the Afterlife Call Center and took on Beetlejuice’s look specifically to distract his vengeful ex-wife, Delores.
For anyone who saw the movie and is still a little confused about what exactly a “Shrinker” is, you’re not alone. Bob belongs to a group of shrunken-headed office workers roaming the Neitherworld’s bureaucratic afterlife, a concept that actually traces back to the original 1988 film’s waiting room scene, where a background character known as Harry the Hunter first introduced the whole shrunken-head gag. The sequel expanded that one-off joke into an entire cast of Shrinkers, and Bob, despite having zero lines in the movie, ended up becoming one of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’s” most talked-about characters anyway, purely through screen presence and a handful of genuinely funny reaction shots opposite Willem Dafoe’s overly intense detective character.
That’s honestly the most Hallmark Keepsake thing about this release. The line has built an entire pop culture wing over the years by betting on characters just like Bob: not the marquee lead, but the background player who somehow became a fan favorite anyway, memeable enough to earn shelf space next to franchise heavyweights. Bob’s already picked up action figures, Funko Pops, and collectible figure sets since the movie came out, so a Hallmark ornament is really just this character’s most seasonally appropriate destination yet.
Reviews on Hallmark’s site are already sitting at a perfect five stars, and reading through them tells you almost everything you need to know: it’s small, it’s oddly charming, and more than one buyer mentioned picking it up purely because Bob’s tiny head cracked them up in the theater.
