Universal Studios Japan is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an unexpected crossover collection bringing together some of Japan’s most iconic anime and manga franchises with legendary attractions and experiences from the park.

Launching on September 9, 2026, the special 25th anniversary merchandise collection will feature three unique collaborations: One Piece × Jurassic Park, Detective Conan × Back to the Future, and Tomie × Street Zombies.
The collection celebrates franchises that have played an important role in Universal Studios Japan’s history while embracing the park’s 25th anniversary theme, “Discover U!!!”
One Piece × Jurassic Park
One of the standout collaborations brings together One Piece and Jurassic Park.
The artwork features Luffy inside the lush Jurassic Park area, holding a giant turkey leg while excitedly interacting with a massive T. rex.
The playful design combines the adventurous spirit of One Piece with the larger-than-life world of Jurassic Park, creating a crossover that could only happen at Universal Studios Japan.
One Piece has been part of Universal Studios Japan’s seasonal entertainment since 2007, particularly through its popular summer events. Over the years, the park has recreated the world of the Straw Hat Pirates through large-scale live entertainment and immersive experiences that allow guests to feel as though they are joining Luffy and his crew on their adventures.
Merchandise for the collaboration includes a T-shirt, tote bag, and stainless steel bottle.
Detective Conan × Back to the Future
Perhaps the most nostalgic crossover in the collection pairs Detective Conan with Back to the Future.
The design features Conan Edogawa and Professor Agasa recreating the iconic Back to the Future movie poster, giving the legendary artwork a Detective Conan twist.
Back to the Future recently returned to the spotlight at Universal Studios Japan as part of the park’s 25th anniversary Universal Cars and Stars Collection, making the crossover particularly fitting for the anniversary celebration.
Detective Conan, meanwhile, has become a major part of Universal Studios Japan since joining Universal Cool Japan in 2017. The franchise has regularly appeared through escape games and other interactive experiences that challenge guests to solve mysteries alongside Conan.
The anime is also celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026.
Merchandise inspired by the Detective Conan × Back to the Future collaboration includes a figure, mug, and T-shirt.
Tomie × Street Zombies
The collection isn’t limited to anime and blockbuster movies.
Universal Studios Japan is also bringing together the world of legendary horror manga creator Junji Ito with one of the park’s most recognizable Halloween experiences.
Tomie, one of Ito’s most famous works, will crossover with the Street Zombies from Halloween Horror Nights for another exclusive 25th anniversary merchandise design.
The collaboration connects one of Japanese horror manga’s most recognizable characters with the terrifying zombies that have become synonymous with Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Japan.
A Celebration of 25 Years of Universal Studios Japan
These collaborations highlight franchises and experiences that have helped shape Universal Studios Japan over the past 25 years.
One Piece has entertained park guests since 2007, while Detective Conan has become a recurring Universal Cool Japan favorite since 2017. Meanwhile, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, and Halloween Horror Nights represent different eras of Universal Studios Japan’s history.
By bringing these worlds together, the collection reflects the spirit of the park’s 25th anniversary theme, “Discover U!!!”, with combinations that cross generations, genres, and franchises.
One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda and Detective Conan creator Gosho Aoyama have also shared special messages congratulating Universal Studios Japan on its 25th anniversary.
