Disney’s newest resort is looking more like a vacation destination every day.

A brand-new aerial construction photo offers another exciting look at the progress being made on Disney Lakeshore Lodge, with significant changes now visible in The Wetlands, the resort’s highly themed outdoor recreation area.
The latest overview shows landscaping beginning to take shape throughout the area, while concrete has now been poured for several major features, including the future lazy river, pool deck, walkways, and splash pad. The winding lazy river is now clearly visible, giving guests a better idea of just how expansive the recreation area will be once the resort opens.
One particularly interesting detail highlighted in the aerial image is a structure that appears to be a future access ramp leading to the central island, though Disney has not officially confirmed its purpose.

Construction also continues around the surrounding resort buildings as crews steadily work toward completing what is expected to become one of Walt Disney World’s most unique Disney Vacation Club resorts. Inspired by the beauty of America’s waterfront lodges and natural landscapes, Disney Lakeshore Lodge will feature immersive theming alongside this expansive outdoor recreation space.

With landscaping now underway and more permanent elements being installed, The Wetlands is beginning to evolve from a construction site into one of the resort’s signature amenities.
