It’s only June, but Halloween has officially arrived at Walt Disney World.

If you’ve been eagerly waiting for the first signs of spooky season, the wait is over. Walt Disney World has debuted its first Halloween merchandise collection of 2026, and it stars none other than Witch Minnie Mouse. The seasonal collection has already been spotted inside Riverside Depot at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, giving guests an early opportunity to start shopping for Halloween long before the first pumpkin decorations appear on Main Street, U.S.A.
The first Halloween collection of the year features Minnie Mouse dressed as a cheerful witch, complete with a purple pointed hat decorated with a crescent moon, a matching cape, striped stockings, and a broomstick. The playful artwork appears throughout the collection alongside pumpkins, bats, stars, moons, candy, and other classic Halloween imagery.

The piece leans into Disney’s signature “not-so-scary” Halloween aesthetic, using bright oranges, purples, greens, and blacks instead of darker horror-inspired designs.
Halloween Arrives Earlier Every Year
While seeing Halloween merchandise in June may surprise some guests, it’s become increasingly common at Walt Disney World.

In recent years, Disney has started releasing fall merchandise months before the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party guests enter Magic Kingdom. Early merchandise launches allow collectors to purchase seasonal items before they sell out and give vacationers visiting during the summer an opportunity to pick up Halloween souvenirs without returning later in the year.
The early release also reflects the growing popularity of Disney’s Halloween season, which has become one of the busiest times of year at Walt Disney World thanks to exclusive entertainment, specialty food offerings, limited-edition merchandise, and seasonal decorations.

Historically, Disney releases its Halloween collections in waves, with new apparel, home décor, popcorn buckets, mugs, plush, trading pins, ornaments, and party-exclusive merchandise arriving throughout the summer.
As Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party draws closer, guests can also expect themed treats, attraction overlays, exclusive event merchandise, and additional collections featuring Mickey, Minnie, Disney Villains, Jack Skellington, and other fan-favorite characters.

For now, Witch Minnie officially kicks off the 2026 Halloween season, and if past years are any indication, this is just the beginning.
