There’s a surprise new entertainment act at EPCOT, but you’ll have to move quickly if you want to see it.
Guests visiting EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion may notice something a little different this week. A limited-time acrobatic chair-balancing performance has temporarily taken over the pavilion, offering visitors an unexpected live entertainment experience while longtime performer Sergio is away. The replacement act has quietly been entertaining crowds for the past week or two, but its run is almost over.
The chair-balancing performer has stepped in while Sergio, the Italy Pavilion’s beloved comedic juggler and street entertainer, is on a brief hiatus.
Unlike many of EPCOT’s scheduled entertainment offerings, this performance does not appear in the My Disney Experience app, making it something of a hidden gem for guests strolling through World Showcase. Many visitors have only discovered the act after noticing a crowd gathering in the pavilion.
Sergio is expected to return on Sunday, meaning Saturday Juen 20 is currently scheduled to be the final day for guests to experience the temporary chair-balancing show.
If the balancing act feels familiar, there’s a good reason.
The performance closely resembles Serveur Amusant, the fan-favorite acrobatic show that entertained guests in EPCOT’s France Pavilion for years. More recently, a version of that performance returned during the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival under the name Acrobatico!, delighting guests with a mix of comedy, audience interaction, and impressive balancing feats.
As of now, Disney has not announced whether Acrobatico! will return for this year’s EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, making this temporary Italy Pavilion performance an especially fun opportunity for fans of World Showcase entertainment.
With Sergio expected to return this weekend, the chair-balancing act is only expected to remain at EPCOT for a limited time.
