One of EPCOT’s most iconic views is finally back, and longtime fans are going to notice the difference immediately!

EPCOT

After years of construction tied to EPCOT’s historic transformation, guests entering the park can once again enjoy an unobstructed view of Spaceship Earth. The latest construction milestone removes one of the final visual reminders of the park’s multi-year reimagining, restoring the classic entrance vista that has welcomed millions of visitors for decades.

For much of EPCOT’s transformation, guests entering beneath Spaceship Earth were greeted by construction walls, equipment, temporary work zones, and, most recently, festival decor and planters as Disney completely reimagined the center of the park. While most major projects have wrapped up over the past year, one lingering obstruction remained near the entrance.

That has now changed.

She’s BACK!

The trees that previously blocked part of the entrance sightline have been removed, allowing guests to once again take in a wide, uninterrupted view of Spaceship Earth as they make their way into World Celebration.

For many Disney fans, it’s a small change that makes a big impact.

Spaceship Earth has long served as EPCOT’s visual centerpiece, and the approach to the geodesic sphere has become one of the most photographed locations at Walt Disney World. With the construction equipment gone, guests can once again capture the same sweeping arrival photos that defined the park before its transformation began.

A Symbolic End to EPCOT’s Transformation

While Disney continues to make smaller updates throughout EPCOT,including new dining locations, merchandise offerings, and seasonal festival enhancements, the restored entrance view represents another milestone in the park’s years-long evolution.

Stunning

The transformation has brought major additions including CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCore Plaza, Dreamers Point, the Walt the Dreamer statue, the redesigned World Celebration Gardens, Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, and numerous infrastructure improvements that have reshaped the front half of the park.

Now, with the last noticeable entrance obstruction removed, EPCOT feels more complete than it has in years.

A Better First Impression

The return of the open entrance doesn’t just benefit photographers; it also improves the guest arrival experience!

The clear sightline naturally draws guests toward Spaceship Earth, restoring the dramatic reveal that Walt Disney Imagineering originally intended when EPCOT Center opened in 1982. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning after many years, the restored approach creates a more welcoming and immersive entrance into the park.

Perfect place for a photo!

As EPCOT continues receiving smaller enhancements throughout World Celebration and World Showcase, this latest update serves as another reminder that Disney’s ambitious transformation project is largely in the rearview mirror.

For guests planning a Walt Disney World vacation this summer, one of the resort’s most iconic photo opportunities is officially back.
