The ocean is calling once again, and Disney has given fans their first chance to hear an all-new song from the upcoming live-action Moana.
With the theatrical release of Disney’s live-action reimagining of Moana just weeks away, the studio has unveiled “Along The Way,” a brand-new original song written exclusively for the film.
The release not only gives fans a preview of the movie’s musical direction but also marks the return of one of the creative forces behind the original animated classic.
Disney has officially released “Along The Way”, the first brand-new original song from the upcoming live-action adaptation of Moana. The single is now available to stream ahead of the film’s theatrical debut on July 10, 2026.
The song was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who returns to the world of Moana after writing the beloved songs for the 2016 animated film. While many fan-favorite songs from the original movie will return in the live-action adaptation, “Along The Way” is one of the new musical additions created specifically for this version of the story.
