From a brand-new Disney+ exclusive episode of The Simpsons to the return of Futurama, August is already shaping up to be a busy month for Disney+ subscribers.
Disney has revealed the first wave of movies, series, specials, and livestream events arriving on Disney+ in August 2026, and while the month’s lineup is still growing, there are already several notable additions on the schedule.
Among the biggest highlights are the return of Futurama for its 14th season, a new Disney+ exclusive episode of The Simpsons, the second season of Hulu’s Adults, and live coverage from one of the biggest music festivals in the country.
Here’s everything currently scheduled to arrive on Disney+ in the United States during August 2026.
August 1, 2026
Furious — New Episode (Hulu)
The crime drama Furious continues with a new episode.
Created by Elizabeth Meriwether, the series follows FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) as she hunts a mysterious and highly intelligent female serial killer. As both women pursue their own versions of justice, their lives become increasingly intertwined, blurring the line between right and wrong.
New episodes will continue to premiere on Mondays throughout the season.
Lollapalooza — Day 3
Disney+ will continue its livestream coverage of Lollapalooza from Chicago’s Grant Park.
In addition to live performances from the festival, Disney+ and Hulu will once again host the Live Set, an on-site content studio featuring artist interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and special festival coverage throughout the weekend.
August 2, 2026
Lollapalooza — Day 4
The final day of Disney+ and Hulu’s Lollapalooza livestream coverage will feature additional performances, artist appearances, interviews, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content from Grant Park.
August 3, 2026
Futurama Season 14 (Hulu)
FUTURAMA
The fan-favorite animated sci-fi comedy returns for its 14th season.
According to the official synopsis, the new season will feature:
- Swaggering space pirates
- Lab-grown meats
- Sexy scams
- The shocking return of Dr. Zoidberg’s lost love
The latest season promises even more absurd adventures for Fry, Leela, Bender, and the rest of the Planet Express crew as they continue navigating the bizarre future.

The Simpsons Disney+ Exclusive Episode — “Yellow Mirror”
Disney+ subscribers will get an exclusive new episode of The Simpsons titled “Yellow Mirror.” The episode will feature two strange and dark stories.
In one story, a defective lamp reveals a heartbreaking truth about what Homer believes is reality. In the other, an AI-powered tablet befriends Maggie before ultimately taking control of her.
According to Disney, the Simpson family must struggle to find the light through two bizarre tales filled with mystery, technology, and unexpected twists.
August 27, 2026
Adults Season 2 (Hulu)
The comedy series Adults returns for its second season.
Across eight new episodes, the housemates tackle a variety of increasingly complicated life questions, including: What happens when the person using your old fake ID is cooler than you ever were? How do you explain that you actually enjoy your boring office job? Why does being around family bring out your worst habits? How do you ask for change while desperately wanting everything to stay the same?
The season follows the group as they continue making mistakes, avoiding difficult conversations, and finding increasingly creative ways to complicate their lives—all while continuing to show up for each other when it matters most.
Don’t Forget About Daily Programming
In addition to the titles listed above, Disney+ will continue releasing new episodes of What You Need To Know and SC+.
Both programs are expected to release new episodes every weekday throughout August.
More Titles Are Expected
Disney has indicated that the August 2026 lineup is not yet complete, meaning additional movies, Disney+ Originals, Hulu content, National Geographic programming, and other releases could still be announced in the coming weeks.
