If you’re heading to D23 Expo this summer, Disney just gave you one more reason to be excited.
Disneyland Resort has extended performances of both “Paint the Night” and “Wondrous Journeys,” giving guests additional opportunities to experience two of the resort’s most beloved nighttime offerings. The extension is especially welcome news for Disney fans planning to visit Disneyland during D23 Expo weekend.
Disney has confirmed that both “Paint the Night” and “Wondrous Journeys” will now continue performances through August 20, 2026.
Previously, both entertainment offerings were scheduled to conclude their current run on August 9. The extension adds nearly two additional weeks of performances for guests visiting Disneyland Resort later in August.
The update means visitors attending D23 Expo will still have the opportunity to experience both nighttime spectaculars during their Disneyland trip.

D23 Expo is one of the biggest Disney fan events in the world, bringing thousands of Disney enthusiasts to Anaheim for a weekend packed with announcements, panels, exhibits, shopping, and exclusive experiences.
Many attendees extend their trips with visits to Disneyland Resort, making the timing of this entertainment extension particularly significant.
With “Paint the Night” and “Wondrous Journeys” now running through August 20, D23 attendees will have additional chances to catch both shows during their visit.
Paint the Night Continues to Draw Huge Crowds
