One of Disney Springs’ sweetest destinations is preparing for a major transformation.

Guests planning a visit to Disney Springs this summer should be aware of an upcoming change at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop. According to newly released information, the popular dessert location will temporarily relocate operations while a significant refurbishment gets underway at its current Marketplace location.
According to reports, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop is preparing for a substantial remodeling project at its Disney Springs location.
As part of the refurbishment, the soda fountain portion of the operation will temporarily move to a nearby location while construction takes place. The relocation will allow Ghirardelli to continue serving guests during the project while work progresses on the existing storefront.

The remodel is expected to impact the guest experience area of the location, with construction focused on modernizing and refreshing the space while maintaining the iconic Ghirardelli brand presence that Disney Springs guests have enjoyed for years.
Chocolate Sales Will Continue During Construction
While the soda fountain operation will relocate, guests will still be able to purchase Ghirardelli’s signature chocolate products during the project.

The Disney Springs location is known for its assortment of premium chocolates, Chocolate Squares, gifts, and world-famous hot fudge sundaes. Ghirardelli has been a staple of Disney Springs for years, attracting guests looking for everything from ice cream treats to take-home chocolate gifts.
A Popular Disney Springs Destination
Located in the Marketplace section of Disney Springs, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop has long been one of the district’s most popular snack stops.
The location serves a variety of signature offerings, including the World Famous Hot Fudge Sundaes, the Cookie Crumble Hot Fudge Sundaes, the Ocean Beach Sea Salt Caramel Sundaes, the Lands End Salted Caramel Brownie Sundaes, and the premium chocolate gifts and chocolate squares.
Guests are also accustomed to receiving a complimentary chocolate sample while visiting the shop, making it one of the most recognizable stops in Disney Springs.
More Changes Coming to Disney Springs
The Ghirardelli project joins several ongoing updates taking place throughout Disney Springs as Walt Disney World continues investing in new dining, shopping, and entertainment offerings across the district.
While an exact completion date for the remodel has not yet been announced, guests can expect Ghirardelli to continue operating in a temporary capacity while construction is underway.

We’ll continue monitoring the project and provide updates as Disney and Ghirardelli reveal more details about the refurbishment and eventual reopening of the remodeled space.
