According to a new real estate report, Chapek’s Los Angeles-area mansion has now sold after previously hitting the market with a multi-million-dollar asking price, and the final sale number is probably going to surprise some Disney fans.

According to the report from Realtor.com, Chapek’s mansion ultimately sold for less than its initial listing price after spending time on the market.

The luxury property is located in the upscale Westlake Village area outside Los Angeles and reportedly spans roughly 6,300 square feet. The estate includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a resort-style pool, outdoor entertainment areas, and expansive landscaped grounds.

The home also features modern design elements, vaulted ceilings, large glass windows, and multiple high-end upgrades throughout the property.

Chapek Purchased the Home Before Becoming Disney CEO

Chapek reportedly purchased the property years before taking over as CEO of The Walt Disney Company in 2020. He served as Disney’s CEO from February 2020 through November 2022 following the retirement of Bob Iger.

Chapek’s leadership period included some of the most turbulent years in Disney’s modern history, including:

  • The COVID-19 theme park closures
  • Disney+ expansion
  • Major layoffs and restructuring
  • The Florida political controversy involving the Reedy Creek Improvement District
  • Significant fan backlash over park price increases and reservation systems

In November 2022, Disney’s board abruptly announced Iger would return as CEO, ending Chapek’s tenure with the company.

According to the listing details highlighted in the report, the home included several upscale amenities designed for entertaining and private living.

Features reportedly included a chef-style kitchen, private theater/media space, spa-inspired bathrooms, large outdoor lounge areas, a pool and landscaped backyard, and mountain and canyon views.

The estate was also located inside a gated community popular with executives, athletes, and entertainment industry professionals.

Celebrity and executive real estate sales continue to attract major public attention — especially when tied to high-profile entertainment figures connected to Disney, Universal, or Hollywood studios.

Chapek’s sale joins a growing list of notable entertainment-industry real estate transactions making headlines throughout Southern California’s luxury housing market.

Recent market shifts, changing mortgage conditions, and California luxury taxes have also impacted many high-end property sales across Los Angeles in recent years.

While Bob Chapek’s time leading Disney remains one of the company’s most debated eras among fans, his former Los Angeles mansion has officially found a new owner.
