A new construction look at Universal Orlando is giving fans a clearer picture of what’s coming next — and this time, it’s not just groundwork! The project is officially starting to take shape in a big way.

New aerial photos are offering an updated look at construction for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Orlando Resort, and the biggest takeaway is clear: track work is now actively progressing.

Recent images show new sections of coaster track and support structures being installed, marking a major milestone as the project continues to move beyond early site prep and into more visible vertical construction.

This attraction, set to open in 2027, is being built on the former site of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and will bring a completely new high-speed experience to the park.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift isn’t just another roller coaster — it’s designed to simulate the feeling of drifting cars, using spinning ride vehicles that rotate throughout the course.

The ride will also feature a high-speed launch system, a sprawling track layout stretching over 4,000 feet, and innovative motion elements that recreate the signature drifting action from the films.

Seeing the actual track installed is always a turning point!

It means construction is moving quickly — and more importantly, that the ride’s layout is starting to become real. For fans, this is when a project goes from concept to something you can actually visualize.

With Epic Universe already reshaping Universal’s future, this coaster is another major piece of the resort’s expansion, and it’s clearly gaining momentum. Follow along for more Universal updates, because this one is quickly becoming one of the most exciting projects to watch in Orlando.
