We’re talking Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, AND brand-new originals — all in one massive presentation. Because at CinemaCon 2026, Disney didn’t just show up…they completely stole the spotlight!

During its presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Disney rolled out a packed slate of upcoming theatrical releases, showing exclusive footage and bringing out major stars and filmmakers across its studios.

From Marvel Studios to Searchlight Pictures, the company made it very clear: it’s not slowing down anytime soon.

Marvel Takes Center Stage with Avengers: Doomsday

Let’s start with the BIG one.

Deadline

Disney debuted new footage from Avengers: Doomsday, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most ambitious MCU films yet.

The footage teased a massive, multiverse-spanning conflict that brings together characters from across Marvel franchises — including the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.

And yes, there were some HUGE reveals:

  • Robert Downey Jr. returns…but this time as the villain Doctor Doom
  • Chris Evans is back as Captain America
  • Characters like Thor, Shang-Chi, and others appear in major battle moments

The footage reportedly showed intense clashes (including Thor going head-to-head with Doctor Doom), and highlighted the scale of what’s coming.

The film is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, and will serve as a major turning point in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga.

A First Look at Wild Horse Nine

Disney’s presentation wasn’t just about big franchises — it also spotlighted original storytelling.

Attendees were given a first look at Wild Horse Nine, a new project from director Martin McDonagh.

Searchlight

The film follows two CIA agents in 1973 on a mission in Chile, played by Sam Rockwell and John Malkovich.

The footage reportedly leaned heavily into sharp dialogue and dark humor, with the two leads bantering early in the clip—giving audiences a sense of the film’s tone right away.

This one is slated for a November 2026 release, making it one of the standout non-franchise films in Disney’s upcoming lineup.

More Big Reveals Across Disney’s Slate

And that wasn’t all. Disney also showcased a wide range of upcoming films across its studios, reinforcing just how stacked its theatrical lineup is:

  • A new look at The Mandalorian and Grogu, the first Star Wars film in years, with extended footage shown to attendees
  • Updates on Pixar’s Toy Story 5, including new footage featuring Woody and Buzz
  • A preview of the live-action Moana, introduced by Dwayne Johnson
Disney

The presentation also highlighted additional upcoming titles like The Dog Stars, Whalefall, and Hexed, showing just how broad Disney’s slate is beyond its core franchises.

Disney’s Bigger Strategy

If there’s one takeaway from this presentation, it’s this: Disney is doubling down on theatrical releases.

The company emphasized its track record at the box office, with billions in global earnings and multiple billion-dollar hits in recent years.

Between massive franchise films like Avengers: Doomsday and original projects like Wild Horse Nine, Disney is clearly aiming to dominate both sides of the movie industry.

Disney

From multiverse chaos in Avengers: Doomsday to bold original storytelling with Wild Horse Nine, the studio showed it has one of the most ambitious theatrical lineups in years.

And if even half of these projects deliver? The box office is going to be VERY interesting!
