A Disney World golf course is CLOSING!
If golfing is on your Disney World to-do list, this could change your plans.
Disney has confirmed that Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course at Walt Disney World will temporarily close for refurbishment starting in late spring 2026 and is expected to remain closed through early fall.
This means the closure will impact a big portion of the busy summer travel season. This isn’t a minor refresh; Disney is planning a significant upgrade to the course.
The project will include redesigned greens with updated contours, improvements to bunkers and chipping areas, and upgrades to irrigation and drainage systems to better handle Florida weather. Tee boxes will also be enhanced, making this a full-course refurbishment rather than a quick fix.
Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is one of the most popular courses on property, especially thanks to its location near Disney Springs and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
If you were planning to play here during your trip, you’ll need to make alternate plans.
The good news, though, is that Disney’s other golf courses (including Magnolia, Palm, and Oak Trail) will remain open during the closure.
This closure may be temporary, but it’s a big one — especially for summer travelers.
